The present invention relates to an improvement of a ventilated type disc rotor used in a vehicle brake system.

【0002】[0002]

[Prior Art]

As disclosed in JP-A-2-253020, a conventional ventilated type disc rotor for a vehicle such as an automobile is constructed by pressing a brake pad of the disc rotor 1 as shown in FIGS. 11 and 12 of this document. A disc-shaped inner sliding surface disc 2 and an outer sliding surface disc 3 for braking are provided so as to face each other, and a cooling effect of heat generation on the sliding surface due to pressing of the brake pad during braking is provided. In order to raise the height of the discs, a gap for air flow is provided between the discs 2 and 3, and ribs 4 and 4 connecting the discs 2 and 3 are radially formed in the gap, and adjacent ribs are formed. Slots 5 and 5 serving as passages for cooling air are provided between the slots 4 and 4.

A cylindrical portion 6 for attaching to a vehicle is continuously provided on the axial center side of the sliding surface disc 3 of the outer, and a bottom portion which is an outer end of the cylindrical portion 6 has a flange portion for attaching to a vehicle. The mounting surface 7 has a central hole 8, mounting holes 9, 9 and auxiliary holes 10, 10 for removing the disc rotor 1 from the vehicle, which are continuous with the outer peripheral edge of the barrel mounting surface 7.

The above-mentioned conventional ventilated type disc rotor is used for braking the vehicle, at high speed rotation, and when the braking frequency is increased within a short time, the inner sliding surface disc 2 and the outer disc High heat is generated in the sliding surface disk 3, and the sliding surface disk 3 undergoes thermal deformation around the cylindrical portion 6 as a dotted line as shown in FIG.

When this thermal deformation occurs, a large internal stress is generated particularly on the sliding surface disk 3 side of the outer, and as shown in FIGS. 14 and 15, radial cracks C 1 are formed on both disks 2 and 3. , C 2 are likely to occur, and if the above-mentioned thermal deformation is caused, the contact (contact) between the brake pad and the disc rotor 1 becomes unstable, the brake effectiveness varies, and brake judder is likely to occur. There is a problem.

[Problems to be solved by the device]

In the present invention, even if the outer and inner sliding surface discs are heated to a high temperature due to a severe braking action, there is no risk of thermal deformation as in the conventional case, so that no crack is generated and cooling efficiency is good. It is an object to provide a ventilated type disc rotor that can maintain good braking performance during any driving operation.

【0007】[0007]

[Means for Solving the Problems]

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the invention of claim 1 is characterized in that a plurality of disc-shaped outer and inner sliding surfaces of a ventilated type disc rotor are connected to each other through a plurality of coupling surfaces which face each other. The ribs are formed radially with respect to the axial center, and the inner ends of the ribs on the inner side of the disc extend radially inward from the inner peripheral end faces of the outer and inner sliding faces of the disc, and are attached to the vehicle. A cylindrical portion that is continuous with the outer peripheral edge, a reinforcing thickening portion is formed at the end portion of an appropriate number of ribs in the continuous portion, and the inner peripheral end surface of the outer sliding surface disc, and The structure is such that a gap is formed between the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion.

According to the second aspect of the present invention, the reinforcing thickening portion is a bridging portion that connects the adjacent gaps of the end portions of the appropriate number of ribs.

Further, in the invention of claim 3, the reinforcing thickening portion is a widening portion of a portion near each end of each rib.

According to the fourth aspect of the invention, the reinforcing thickening portion is composed of the widened portion near the end portion of each rib and the bridge portion that connects the adjacent gaps of the widened portions of the appropriate number of ribs.

【0011】[0011]

[Action]

According to the invention of claim 1, the outer and inner sliding surface discs are only connected by the ribs, and are not directly continuous with the cylindrical portion continuous to the outer peripheral edge of the mounting surface to the vehicle. Since a gap is formed between the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion and the inner peripheral end surface of the outer sliding surface disc, the cooling effect is improved, and the continuous installation with the cylindrical portion is performed in the axial direction. Of the end portions that are thick and continuous, a reinforcement thickening portion is formed at an appropriate number of end portions, and the ribs at a temperature lower than that of the sliding surface disk are used for high temperature sliding. Since the moving surface disc is not directly connected to the cylindrical part, thermal deformation is small, internal stress of the sliding surface disc of the outer cutter is reduced, cracks are not generated, and contact with the brake pad is stable. Increased durability.

In the reinforcing thickening portion of the invention of claim 2, the adjacent gaps at the end portions of the ribs are continuous with the bridging portion, and in the reinforcing thickening portion of the invention of claim 3, The end portion is widened, and the reinforcing thickening portion of the invention of claim 4 is one in which the adjacent gap of the widened end portion of the rib is continuous by a bridge portion, both of which are disc rotor castings. Sometimes it can be easily molded, and the reinforcing effect can be enhanced without increasing the number of processing steps.

Of the cooling air passages 23, 24 formed at the lower end of 19, the air passage 24 is narrowed by the thickness of the bridging portion 22 at the end portion 14 of the rib 13, but this bridging portion 22 is reinforced. The continuous portion of the end portion 14 of the rib 13 and the cylindrical portion 19 is reinforced by the formation of the thickness increasing portion 13A.

FIG. 4 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of a continuous portion of the end portion 14 of the rib 13 and the cylindrical portion 19. The thickened portion 19A is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the lower end of the cylindrical portion 19, and this thickened portion 19A is formed. The connecting portion 25 between the flesh portion 19A and the upper surface 13B of the rib 13 has a curved surface with a large R, and the increased thickness portion 19A and the connecting portion 25 also reinforce the continuous portion of the rib 13 and the cylindrical portion 19. .

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the bridge portions 22 are formed in every other adjacent gap 14A, but the bridge portions 22 are formed in every two adjacent gaps 14A as shown in FIG. Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 6, they may be formed in all the adjacent gaps 14A, and the formation position of the bridging portion 22 is appropriately selected depending on the application.
