〔産業上の利用分野〕 この発明は、エスカレータ、動く歩道などの移
動道路をリニアモータによつて駆動する移動道路
に関するものである。 〔従来の技術〕 第3図は例えば特公昭48−44478号公報に示さ
れた従来のリニアモータで駆動するエスカレータ
の概略側面図、第4図は同踏板およびリニアモー
タの横断面図である。第3図、第4図において、
1は移動体である踏板であり、これらの多数がチ
エーン5によつて無端状に連結されている。2は
踏板1をフレーム6に支えるガイドローラ、3は
ガイドローラ2を装着した軸に取付けられたリニ
アモータの2次導体、4は踏板1の搬送路の往路
と帰路の中間に分散して配置され、上記フレーム
6に固定された1対のリニアモータの1次鉄心、
7は1次鉄心4の溝4a間に配設されて1次鉄心
4に装着された1次コイルである。 そして、第4図に示すように1次鉄心4に埋設
された1次コイル7に3相交流を印加することで
移動磁界ができ、上記交流はインバータなどを用
いることにより踏板1の速度制御を自由に行なえ
る。1次鉄心4に挟まれて板状の2次導体3が介
在されていると、よく知られた誘導電動機と同じ
原理によつて2次導体3に推力が発生し、踏板が
駆動される。 なお、第4図に示すものは両側式リニア誘導電
動機と呼ばれる。 〔発明が解決しようとする問題点〕 従来のエスカレータなどの移動道路の駆動装置
は、踏板1の搬送路上部および下部の反転部分で
2次導体3が干渉しないようにするには、2次導
体3をあまり大きくすることができず、このため
エスカレータを駆動するのに十分な推力が得られ
ないという問題点があつた。 この発明は、上記のような問題点を解決するた
めになされたもので、2次導体を踏板のような移
動体に別個に設けなくても、十分な推力が得ら
れ、経済的なリニアモータ駆動方式の移動道路の
駆動装置を得ることを目的とする。 〔問題点を解決する手段〕 この発明に係る移動道路の駆動装置は、リニア
モータの1次コイルを装着した1次鉄心を、踏板
のような移動体の踏面が一直線に並ぶ部分に配設
し、移動体の踏面をリニアモータの2次導体とし
て用いるようにしたものである。 〔作 用〕 この発明に係る移動道路の駆動装置は、踏板の
ような移動体が鉄、アルミニウムなどの導電体で
構成され、帰路で複数の移動体が一直線状に並ぶ
ことに着目し、移動体自体をリニアモータの2次
導体とすることにより、2次導体が搬送路の反転
部分で干渉することなく、エスカレータのような
移動道路の駆動に十分な推力が得られる。

ウムなどの導電体からなる踏板1の踏面1aをリ
ニアモータの2次導体としたものである。そし
