A conventional suspension mechanism for a main electric motor is shown in Figs. 2a and 2b. A main body 2a of a traction motor 2 is attached to a vehicle body 1 of an new transportation system vehicle via a vibration-proof rubber 7. It is connected to an input shaft 5a installed at the center of the drive device 5 of the axle 4, and can follow the displacement of the vehicle body 1 in the vertical direction with respect to the axle 4 while the new transportation system vehicle is running. There is. A pair of rubber tire running wheels 6 are rotatably attached to each axle 4, 4', and the wheels 6 are mounted on the outside of the axle 4, 4' (the side in the direction of the arrow).
each has a guide device (not shown) having a pair of guide wheels. Because of the above-described suspension mechanism for the main electric motor 2, the mounting space between the pair of axles 4, 4' under the floor of the vehicle is limited, as shown by the broken line in FIG.

The equipment space of new transportation system vehicles utilizes the space under the vehicle floor between a pair of axles. Since it is connected to the shaft, the main electric motor is placed in the center of the vehicle body, and the rigging space becomes narrower, as shown by the broken line in FIG.

In FIGS. 1a and 1b, anti-vibration rubber 11 is attached to the vehicle body 1.
The attached support 12 has a link 13 via

The other end of the main motor 2 is swingably attached to a support 14 fixed to the main body 2a of the main motor 2. Also, the support arm 2c and the axle 4, which are part of the main body 2a of the main motor 2,
The support arm 5b, which is a part of the drive device 5, is swingably attached to the support arm 5b with two pins 15. Furthermore, the main shaft 2b of the main electric motor 2 is connected to the input shaft 5a of the drive device 5 of the axle 4 through a flexible shaft joint 16. Since the length of the flexible shaft joint 16 is considerably shorter than that of the propulsion shaft 3 shown in FIG. The space under the floor is larger than that shown in Figure 2a. Also, one end of the main motor 2 is swingably supported by the vehicle 1 via a link 13 and the other end by a pin 15 to the drive device 5 of the axle 4, so that it cooperates with the deflection of the flexible shaft joint 16. The displacement of the vehicle 1 with respect to the axle 4 in the vertical direction is followed.

The main shaft of the main motor and the input shaft of the axle drive device are connected via a flexible shaft joint, the axle side of the main motor body and the main body of the axle drive device are connected by pins, and the upper side of the main motor body is connected to the vehicle body by a link, and the main electric motor and the axle drive device are supported so as to be able to move relative to each other in the vertical direction, resulting in the following effects: Instead of a long propulsion shaft as in conventional devices, a short propulsion shaft is used. Since the axle is driven by the main motor via the flexible shaft joint, the main motor is disposed closer to the axle, and the equipment space increases accordingly.

Furthermore, since the main electric motor is suspended by links and pins, it follows the vertical displacement of the vehicle with respect to the axle in a manner comparable to that of a conventional propulsion shaft.
