[Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to a filter element for an oil filter for lubricating oil that is circulated and supplied to engines, bearings, etc. of automobiles, ships, machine tools, etc. [Prior art] As a filter element for a bypass oil filter that removes sludge, worn metals, carbon, etc. from lubricating oil, a roll of filter paper made of cellulose fibers with wrinkles formed with the grain direction facing the width direction is rolled. It is known to be rolled into a shape. [Problems to be Solved by the Invention] The wrinkles formed on the filter paper of the conventional filter element increase the space ratio of the filter element and extend its life. However, there is a limit to increasing the space ratio using wrinkles in the conventional method, and if the space ratio is increased too much, the most important filtration performance will decrease and it will become impossible to remove minute foreign substances. There is. An object of the present invention is to provide a filter element for an oil filter that can increase the space ratio and further extend the service life without reducing the filtration performance. [Means for Solving the Problems] In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a filter element for an oil filter formed by winding a filter paper into a roll, in which the streak direction is set in the width direction of the filter paper. A filter paper with wrinkles formed in the width direction and a filter paper with wrinkles formed vertically and horizontally in the width direction and the length direction are used, and one or several pieces of the above two types of filter paper are used. Each sheet was alternately wound into a roll. [Function] The wrinkles, which are oriented in the length direction of the filter paper and perpendicular to the central axis direction of the filter element, are the wrinkles in two types of filter papers that are adjacent to each other, with the direction of the creases oriented in the width direction of the filter paper. Prevents peaks and valleys from overlapping each other. Therefore, a reduction in the space ratio of the filter element is prevented, the space ratio is kept high, and the life of the filter element is extended. The liquid to be filtered, such as lubricating oil, flows in the direction of the center axis of the filter element through the filter paper wound in a roll. The wrinkles, which are perpendicular to the central axis direction of the filter paper, strengthen the flow resistance of the filtered liquid flowing along the wrinkles, which are aligned parallel to the central axis of the filter element with the crease direction facing the width direction of the filter paper. As a result, fine foreign matter is reliably captured, and high filtration performance can be obtained. [Embodiment] The attached drawing shows an embodiment of the present invention, and reference numerals 1 and 2 in the drawing indicate filter paper. Two filter papers 1 and 2 each are stacked alternately and inserted into an inner tube 3 made of cardboard with a circular cross section.
It is wound into a roll to constitute the element body E of the filter element. The filter paper 1 has wrinkles 1a with the lines of the peaks and valleys oriented in the width direction W of the filter paper 1.
is formed. The wrinkles 1a become parallel to the central axis of the element body E when the filter paper 1 is wound into a roll to constitute the element body E. On the other filter paper 2, wrinkles 2a with the direction of the ridges and valleys facing the width direction W of the filter paper 2, and wrinkles 2b with the direction of the streaks facing the length direction L of the filter paper 2 are formed vertically and horizontally. has been done. The wrinkles 2a in the width direction are formed when the filter paper 2 is rolled into an element body E.
Like the wrinkles 1a, they are parallel to the central axis of the element body E, and the longitudinal wrinkles 2b are perpendicular to the central axis of the element body E. The wrinkles 2b are the other wrinkles 1a and 2a of the filter papers 1 and 2.
This prevents the peaks and valleys from directly overlapping each other, increasing the spatial ratio of the element body E. The reason for stacking two filter papers 1 and 2 each is as follows.
This is because the strength of a single sheet is too weak and it is easy to break when wound into a roll. Reference numeral 4 denotes a cloth tape, which is wound around the outer periphery of the element main body E through a hole in the inner cylinder 3.
Both ends are connected by a Z-shaped buckle 5. Moreover, the code|symbol 6 is an outer cylinder made from cardboard. This outer tube 6 is fitted onto the tape 4 at approximately 2/3 of the lower side of the element main body E, and compresses that portion to increase the density. In addition, this outer cylinder 6
The attachment to the element body E was developed by the applicant of the present invention and is well known (Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 47614/1983). Next, the operation of the filter element of the oil filter according to the present invention constructed as described above will be explained. As is well known, the filter element is used in a case (not shown) having an inlet and an outlet for a liquid to be filtered such as lubricating oil. The liquid to be filtered from the intake into the case is transferred to the element body E.
In FIG. 1, it is fed between the filter papers 1 and 2 of the element body E from above. Since the outer cylinder 6 is not fitted to the upper part of the element body E and the density is maintained low, foreign substances mixed in the liquid to be filtered are not deposited on the upper end surface of the element body E and are absorbed by the element body E. It will be accurately incorporated into the inside of. In this way, the element body E
The liquid to be filtered that has entered the inside of the filter paper 2 is prevented from overlapping the peaks and valleys by the wrinkles 2b in the longitudinal direction of the filter paper 2, and flows along other wrinkles 1a and 2a in the width direction of the filter papers 1 and 2. However, the above-mentioned wrinkle 2b intersecting the wrinkles 1a and 2a prevents the fluid from flowing freely, that is, from passing through. Therefore, the liquid to be filtered is accurately filtered at each longitudinal wrinkle 2b formed on the filter paper 2, and foreign substances are removed. Note that in the upper part of the element main body E where the outer cylinder 6 is not fitted, foreign substances with a relatively large particle size are removed, and in the lower part of the element main body E where the outer cylinder 6 is fitted, the particle size is removed. small foreign objects are removed. An example of the properties of filter paper 1 and filter paper 2 and experimental results when using filter paper 1 and 2 are shown below.

[Properties of filter paper 2] Raw materials Coniferous pulp 85% Hardwood pulp 15% Basis weight 20.0±2.5 (g/m 2 ) Thickness 0.25±0.03 (m/m) Density 0.080 (g/cm 3 ) Tensile strength ( Length direction) 300 (g/25 mm) or more Tensile strength (width method) 100 (g/25 mm) or more Wrinkle 2a rate 25 ± 3% Wrinkle 2b rate approximately 12% Conventional method in which only filter paper 1 was wound into a roll The filter element of the present invention, in which filter paper 1 and filter paper 2 are alternately wound into rolls as shown in Fig. 2, is comparable in filtration performance to the filter element of the present invention, and has a lighter weight due to the improved space ratio. Good results were obtained, with a reduction of about 20% and a lifespan of about 1.6 times. [Effect of the invention] As explained above, in the filter element of the oil filter paper according to the present invention, in the filter element of the oil filter formed by winding the filter paper into a roll, the filter paper has a grain direction. A filter paper with wrinkles formed in the width direction and a filter paper with wrinkles formed vertically and horizontally with the crease direction facing the width direction and the length direction, respectively, are used, and the above two types of filter paper can be used in one sheet. Since the structure is such that the filter element is wound alternately into a roll every few sheets, it is possible to provide an excellent filter element that is comparable in filtration performance, lightweight, and has a long service life.
