Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate undersired retransmission number of times by deciding a re-transmission number of times in response to type of a return signal from an opposite party when an automatic dialing function is in use to make line connection with the opposite party. CONSTITUTION:When a multiple address control section 5-1 reads a destination number sequentially when the time reaches a time stored in a communication management storage section 1 to control an automatic dialing section 7-1 thereby sending sequentially and automatically the destination. Then a called party reply is detected by a called party response detection section 7-2 and it is informed a communication management control section 5-2, which makes line connection. At the end of picture transmission, a normal flag is set to a flag column in the storage section 1 and stored. On the other hand, after the line connection, when a wrong phone call analysis section 5-3 does not send a FAX procedure signal within a prescribed time via a control section 7, it is discriminated to be a wrong phone call and a flag representing it is set. When the retrial indicates the similar result, a flag representing it is set and the result is stored without reproduction. Thus, number of times of connection is reduced.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention is unnecessary by determining the number of retransmissions according to the type of signal returned from the other side when connecting a line to the other side using a facsimile machine, especially an automatic transmission function. The present invention relates to a facsimile device that minimizes retransmission.

However, recently, a facsimile machine having an automatic transmission function or an automatic timer function, and a broadcast function has been used. When the designated time comes, the facsimile apparatus having the automatic transmission function automatically sends out the telephone number designated in advance and tries to establish a line connection with the other party. When the line is connected, the line may not be connected due to a temporary communication error or the like, so that it has been conventionally retransmitted up to 10 times, for example.

In this case, if the line is not connected as in the case where the mode of repeatedly retransmitting is busy or in the case of a temporary communication failure, etc. If the call was made normally but the other party's telephone number is wrong, or if the line is shared with the telephone and facsimile lines and the line is set to receive calls, the above 10 times are repeated. However, the telephone charges may be undesirably increased, and a wrong call may be made at midnight, which may lead to social problems.

A facsimile apparatus according to the present invention comprises a number storage unit for storing a destination number, and a line connection unit for automatically reading a predetermined number from the number storage unit for line connection. , A called party response detecting section for detecting whether or not the line connecting section is connected by the line connecting section, and a line for transmitting an image signal when the called party response detecting section detects that the line connecting is made. And a communication management control unit that issues a command to the line connection unit and repeats line connection n times when the called party response detection unit detects that the line is not connected. The provided facsimile apparatus further includes a wrong call analyzing unit that determines that a FAX procedure signal is not detected for a predetermined time through the line from the time when the line is connected by the line connecting unit, and the wrong call analyzing unit. Therefore FAX procedure signal is characterized in that less than n times the line connection number by the communication management control unit if not detected even after the lapse of a predetermined time.

FIG. 1 shows the configuration of an embodiment of a facsimile apparatus having a broadcast function. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a communication management storage unit, which is an image signal obtained by scanning a document by using the telephone number of the destination key-input from the operation panel 2 in the illustrated destination number field or by using the reading / transmitting unit 3. Are stored in the illustrated image memory or the like. Further, the trial number column in the communication management storage unit 1 is for recording the number of times of retransmitting repeatedly to the destination number of the other party. The flag column is used to set flags (shown in FIG. 4) representing respective states when the other party's predetermined transmission is normally completed, or when it is determined that a person has come to the other party.

Next, when the communication management control unit 5-2 receives a FAX procedure signal, for example, a signal of 300 bps, through the NCU 7 after the line connection is made, the facsimile machine concerned is normally operated by the facsimile machine of the other party. Then, the image signal stored in the image memory in the communication management storage unit 1 is read out and sent to the line via the transmission control unit 8, the modem unit 9 and the NCU 7. As a result, the image signals are sequentially transmitted to the facsimile device having the destination number.
When the transmission of all image signals has been completed, a flag indicating normal termination is set and stored in the flag column in the communication management storage unit 1. Then, similarly, the next destination number is also performed.

On the other hand, after the line connection is established, the wrong call analysis unit 5-3 sends the FAX procedure signal (300) via the NCU 7.
If a (bps signal) is not received within 40 seconds, for example, it is determined that a wrong call or a person has answered the other party, and a flag indicating a wrong call etc. in the flag field in the communication management storage unit 1. Set up. Then, if it is determined that the call is a wrong phone or the like even if the same destination number is retransmitted again, it is no longer retransmitted and a flag to that effect is set in the flag column in the communication management storage unit 1. Remember.

In this way, when the time of transmission is reached,
After the destination number is read out and the line connection is automatically performed, the image signal is automatically transmitted to the destination facsimile machine via the line. The transmitted result is stored in the flag column in the communication management storage unit 1 described above, and can be read out from the illustrated reception recording unit 4 in a form as shown in FIG.

In the figure, "communication mode" indicates a communication system of a facsimile machine for communication. The illustrated "G3 Broadcast" is the so-called G
It indicates that the data is transmitted by the three methods and the broadcast function. In the figure, "communication content" indicates the state of communication as described with reference to FIG. For example, “good” in the figure indicates that the transmission of the image signal is normally completed. On the other hand, the “wrong phone” shown in the figure is recorded when the wrong phone status occurs, and when the wrong phone status occurs at the communication destination, it is no longer resent. Further, the "#" mark at the right end of the communication content column indicates that the time is designated. That is, the image signal is transmitted at the time designated by the broadcast controller 5-1 shown in FIG.
