Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a cordless heat retaining heater not requiring any control circuit by using a battery as a power supply and a positive temperature coefficient thermistor as a heating unit, capable of being used at relatively low temperature for long time. CONSTITUTION:A heating unit 1 is a positive temperature coefficient thermistor PTC which is ceramic moldings whose main component is barium titanium. Conductors 8 are extended from metal electrodes 2, 3 on the upper and lower surfaces of the heating body 1 to be connected to a socket 9. The heater is heated by inserting a plug 12 on an end of a cord connected to electrodes of a battery 10 to the socket 9. The PTC heating unit has safety because its temperature is kept low, and the material itself has a temperature control function, so that thermostat is not required.

2. Description of the Related Art The food and liquor provided at various banquets and parties have a long time until the meal starts and the time for the meal itself is long. .. On the other hand, it is hard work for a person in charge to put warm foods on the table all together after the meal starts.

From such a point of view, it has been conventionally practiced to set the solid fuel under a pan or the like, and ignite the solid fuel to heat it after the meal starts. The time is short, about 30 minutes, and the heat power cannot be adjusted, so it is not suitable for heat retention. Since a flame is emitted, there is a great risk of fire as a means of heat retention, and since it is necessary to increase the height of the container for keeping heat, it lacks stability and is troublesome to handle.

In order to solve the above problems, the cordless heat retention heater of the present invention uses a battery as a power source and a positive temperature characteristic thermistor (hereinafter referred to as PTC).
Was used as the heating element. The battery can be stored behind or under the table, or in a decoration on the table. In addition, a plug for receiving electricity is provided on the heating element side, an outlet into which the plug is inserted can be provided on the dining table, and the electrode of the battery can be connected to the outlet. In this case,
The plug may be directly fixed to the heating element.

In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a heating element made of PTC, which is made of, for example, ceramics containing barium titanate as a main component and molded into a 100 mm square. Metal electrodes 2 and 3 are bonded to the front and back surfaces of the heating element 1 with a conductive adhesive, and an insulating plate 4 is bonded to the upper metal electrode 2. Below the lower metal electrode 3 is a heat insulating material 5.
Is attached to increase the efficiency of heat transfer to the upper part. 6 is a heating plate on which food, pots, bowls, etc. are placed. Reference numeral 7 is a bottom plate made of a heat insulating material. A conductive wire 8 extends from the metal electrodes 2 and 3 and is connected to a socket 9. On the other hand, the table T is provided with a portion for accommodating the battery 10 at a place where it does not interfere with a person, and a plug 12 is provided at the tip of the cord 11 connected to the electrode of the battery. The heater is made to generate heat by being inserted into the heater 9.
