Below, the jam detection between the sensors S1 and S2 is detected as a sensor.
It is called S1 detection. The same is true between the sensor S2 and the sensor S3. Even normal banknotes 1a may cause jams due to double feed and skew during feeding.
If there are defects such as folds, wrinkles, and tears, even if they are slightly bent, a jam occurs due to skewing during feeding or during transportation.

When a conveyance abnormality occurs in the paper sheet 1 being conveyed and is detected by the abnormality detection means 12, the corresponding illumination means 13 is detected.
Lights up to illuminate the vicinity of the abnormality detecting means 12, so that the periphery of the paper sheet 1 with the abnormal conveyance becomes brighter, the removal of the paper sheet 1 with the abnormal conveyance becomes easier, and the paper sheet 1 due to the abnormal conveyance also comes out. When the class 1 is broken and scattered, there is no need to find or leave it. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the next transport failure from occurring and to perform appropriate maintenance.

As described above, according to the present invention, a conveyance path along which a paper sheet is conveyed, and at least one paper sheet is arranged at a predetermined position of the conveyance path, and the conveyance of the paper sheet is conveyed along the conveyance path. An abnormality detection unit that detects an abnormality and an illumination unit that is provided in the vicinity of the position where the abnormality detection unit is arranged are provided to correspond to the abnormality detection unit that notifies the conveyance abnormality based on the detection output of the abnormality detection unit. By turning on the illuminating means, the area around the abnormally conveyed sheets becomes brighter, and it becomes easier to remove the abnormally conveyed sheets, and also when the abnormally conveyed sheets are torn and scattered. Since it can be found and removed and there is no leftover, it is possible to prevent the induction of the next transport abnormality obstacle,
The effect is that appropriate maintenance can be performed.
