Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the device for announcing that it is the time to give water to a plant when soil is dried. CONSTITUTION:When the dryness of soil is detected with a soil dryness-detecting circuit, a voice expressing that water should be given to a plant is synthesized with a voice-synthetic circuit, amplified with an audio amplifier through a filter and subsequently regenerated into the voice with a speaker.

A device for automatically watering when water is insufficient has a drawback in that it requires a tank for storing water and becomes large in size, and the water will rot when used for a long period of time. Also, if left to the device, the plant may die without noticing that the tank is out of water. There is also a type that directly supplies water from a tap without using a tank, but in this case, the device is very large and expensive, and is not suitable for home use. A device that is left with a buzzer or the like other than a voice may lack interest and may cause discomfort when heard. In addition, today's homes are overflowing with devices such as alarm clocks that notify by a buzzer, and it is difficult to know which device emits sound. It is an object of the present invention to notify a plant to be watered without causing discomfort to a listener and without being confused with notification of other devices. Furthermore, the purpose is not only to prevent discomfort, but also to have the effect of causing the illusion that the plant is requesting water by itself, and enhancing the affection for the plant.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS The present invention will now be described based on the embodiments shown in the accompanying drawings. FIG. 1 is an overall block diagram. The soil dryness detection circuit becomes high when the electric resistance between the two conductors inserted in the soil becomes a certain value or more, and becomes low when the electric resistance becomes a certain value or less. The threshold value can be changed by the variable resistor R1. The speech synthesis circuit starts speech synthesis when the start terminal changes from low to high. Voices are recorded as two types of digital signals in the ROM, and the selection is performed by the voice select terminal. The content of the voice is a content requesting watering when the voice select terminal is high, and a content indicating that it is not necessary to water when the voice select terminal is low. Some voice synthesis circuits are commercially available in one package, and therefore detailed description thereof will be omitted. The synthesized voice signal is
It is output from the speaker through the filter and audio amplifier circuit. Incidentally, in the present embodiment, the electric resistance of the soil was detected to detect the degree of dryness of the soil.
Similar effects can be obtained by other methods.

Since the present invention is constructed as described above, it has the following effects. As the soil dries, the electrical resistance between the two conductors buried in the soil increases. When it exceeds a certain value, the output of the soil dryness detection circuit changes from low to high. Then,
The start terminal of the speech synthesis circuit goes high and speech synthesis starts. The voice to be synthesized requires water because the voice select terminal is high. The synthesized audio signal is output from the speaker through the filter and the audio amplifier circuit. Also, when SWI is closed, the start terminal of the voice synthesizing circuit goes high, and voice synthesizing is started. The sound content at that time is that the sound select terminal is low when the soil is wet, so it does not need to be watered, and when the soil is dry, the sound select terminal becomes high. Therefore, the content requires water.
