(Industrial Field of Application) The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing electrodes for cardiac pacemakers. (Prior art and its problems) A cardiac pacemaker consists of a main body including a control section, electric wires, and electrodes. The performance required for electrodes, especially those for implantable cardiac pacemakers, is that they should fit easily into the heart, reduce power consumption and extend power life, and be responsive to signals from the heart. , impedance (sensing impedance) when responding to signals from the heart is required to be small. Among these requirements, in order to suppress power consumption, it is sufficient to reduce the size of the electrode, but in order to improve responsiveness and reduce sensing impedance, it is preferable to have a large surface area. Therefore, conventional methods have been to minimize the physical size of the electrode and mechanically roughen the surface using sandplast or glass beads to increase the effective surface area and improve responsiveness and sensing impedance. However, this was not sufficient, and an electrode with even greater surface roughness was desired. (Object of the Invention) The present invention was made in view of the above-mentioned needs, and it minimizes the physical size of the electrode and greatly increases the surface roughness to improve the responsiveness of signals from the heart. The purpose is to reduce sensing impedance. (Structure of the Invention) One of the methods for manufacturing a cardiac pacemaker electrode of the present invention is characterized in that a Pt group metal or alloy is coated on a cardiac pacemaker electrode made of Pt or a Pt alloy by a wire bombardment spraying method. That is. The wire explosion spraying method used in the manufacturing method of the present invention is to apply a large shock current to the metal or alloy wire or plate material to be coated in the atmosphere or atmospheric gas to cause a discharge explosion. This is a method to obtain the desired coating layer by colliding the scattered particles against the base material at high speed. The particles melted and scattered by the discharge explosion are very small and the scattering speed is very fast, so the coating film is The porosity is low, the adhesion strength is high, and the surface roughness is extremely high. Therefore, the electrode for a cardiac pacemaker obtained by applying this beam spraying method has a high surface roughness, so even if the physical size of the electrode is made as small as possible, the responsiveness is good and the sensing impedance can be made small. In the manufacturing method of the present invention, the electrode is made of Pt or Pt.
The reason why alloys are used is because they are harmless in vivo. The reason for coating with Pt group metal or alloy is that the Pt group catalytic ability acts effectively on body fluids containing hydrogen ions and chloride ions.
This is because responsiveness is improved. Another method of manufacturing an electrode for a cardiac pacemaker of the present invention is to coat the coating layer of the electrode for a cardiac pacemaker manufactured as described above with an oxygen partial pressure of 0.01.
It is characterized by being oxidized at a temperature of 300 to 900°C at a temperature of 300 to 900 °C. By oxidizing in this way, the surface of the Pt group metal or alloy in the coating layer is roughened, and this oxide has a low affinity for hydrogen ions and chloride ions in body fluids and has catalytic ability.
Responsiveness will further improve. The reason why the oxygen partial pressure was limited to 0.01 Kg/cm 2 in the oxidation treatment is that less than 0.01 Kg/cm 2 is insufficient for the Pt group to be oxidized. The reason why the oxidation temperature is limited to 300 to 900°C is that oxidation is insufficient below 300°C, and dissociation of Pt group oxides begins when it exceeds 900°C. (Example) An example of the method for manufacturing an electrode for a cardiac pacemaker according to the present invention will be described together with a conventional example. First, to explain the conventional example, the first

Coated. That is, a capacitor of C = 80 μF is charged with a charging voltage of V = 7.2 KV, and this energy of 2073.6 Joules is transferred to a Pt-

coated. The spraying distance at this time was 18 mm, and the coating layer of 33wt% Pt-Ir was 5μ. The surface roughness was as shown in FIG. Next, to explain Example 2, the Pt steel cardiac pacemaker electrode coated with 33wt% Pt-Ir obtained in Example 1 was oxidized for 24 hours at an oxygen partial pressure of 9 Kg/cm 2 and a temperature of 700°C. Then, Pt-Ir was changed to Pt- IrO2 . Conventional example and Example 1 obtained in this way,
The polarization ratio of the cardiac pacemaker electrode No. 2 was measured using the test circuit shown in Fig. 4 from the pulse waveform, and the sensing impedance was measured using the test circuit shown in Fig. 5, and the results were as shown in Table 1 below. Got the results. In Figure 4, 10 is an electrolytic cell, and solution 11 is NaCl9
The cathode 12 in the solution is a cardiac pacemaker electrode, and the anode 13 is an electrode for a cardiac pacemaker.
It is a 12cm 2 Ti plate with a distance between poles of 50mm. 14 is 10
A mA constant current power supply, and 15 an oscilloscope for measuring waveforms. In FIG. 5, numerals 10 to 13 indicate the same parts as in FIG. 4, so their explanation will be omitted. 16 is 100mV,
A 50Hz power supply, 17 is a 10Ω shunt resistor, and is used to measure sensing impedance. The method for calculating the polarizability described above is derived from V nax and V p of P in the pulse waveform of FIG. 6 as follows. Polarizability (%)=(V p /V nax )×100 The sensing impedance is calculated using the following formula. Sensing impedance (Ω) = Supply voltage / Circuit current = 1000 / Measured voltage

る。[Table] As is clear from Table 1 above, the cardiac pacemaker electrodes of Examples 1 and 2 have significantly lower polarization rates than the conventional cardiac pacemaker electrodes.
It can also be seen that the sensing impedance is an order of magnitude smaller. (Effects of the Invention) As detailed above, according to the method of manufacturing electrodes for cardiac pacemakers of the present invention, the surface roughness can be increased while reducing the physical size as much as possible, resulting in extremely low polarizability. This has the excellent effect of providing an electrode for a cardiac pacemaker that has high responsiveness from the heart, an extremely low sensing impedance, and extremely high reliability.
