Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve unwinding properties of a wound material such as tacky sheet without using a releasing agent and to arbitrarily set width of surface processing. CONSTITUTION:A device for processing surface of a tacky tape or sheet is equipped with a supporting roll for holding a tacky agent layer face of a substrate layer of the tacky tape or sheet which is obtained by laminating the tacky agent layer optionally through an intermediate layer to one side of the substrate layer solid made of a polyolefin resin and with a solid member to apply shear force to the back of the substrate layer on the supporting roll. The solid member 4 is composed of a combined pillared material of solid materials 10 with small width and the solid materials 10 with small width are slidable on a supporting shaft 12.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for processing a surface of an adhesive tape or sheet in which an adhesive layer is laminated on one side of a base material layer made of polyolefin resin, and more specifically, a winding in the case of a wound body. The present invention relates to a surface processing method and apparatus for an adhesive tape or sheet which has a good return property (deployment force).

2. Description of the Related Art As a product form such as a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet in which a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is laminated on one surface of a base material layer made of a polyolefin resin, a wound body obtained by winding these into a coil is generally used. In the rolled body such as the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer such as the outer pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet and the back surface of the inner substrate are in close contact with each other with a relatively strong adhesive force. Difficult to peel off when rewinding. For this reason, so-called releasing treatment is usually performed on the back surface of the base material so that it can be easily rewound. As the mold release treatment, a method of applying a mold release agent to the back surface of the base material in advance has been conventionally used.

However, in such a mold release treatment method, the material cost is high by the amount of the mold release agent and the complicated mold release agent coating step is required, resulting in high production cost. Further, in the obtained pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet roll, there is a quality problem that the release agent migrates to the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and causes a decrease in the adhesive strength.

Further, without using such a releasing agent, the surface of the base material made of polyolefin resin is subjected to sliding friction by contact with a solid substance to give a shearing force to the surface treatment. However, the present applicant has applied for a surface processing method for improving the unwinding property (deployment force) of a rolled body such as an adhesive sheet. (1991 Patent Application No. 104430)
A roll-shaped material is generally used as the solid material. In the above surface processing method, it is very preferable because the unwinding property (deployment force) of the roll body such as the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet is improved without using a release agent, but the width is wider than that in a wide roll-shaped solid substance integrated. When surface-processing adhesive sheets, etc. with various narrow widths, the solid substance in the part that does not come into contact with the adhesive sheets, etc. will come into contact with the counterpart roll supporting the adhesive sheet etc. There is a problem such as hurt.
For this reason, there has been a problem that an integrally wide roll-shaped solid substance cannot be applied to adhesive sheets of various widths.

In view of the above points, the present invention improves the rewindability of a roll such as a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet without using a release agent, and allows the surface processing width to be set arbitrarily. An object of the present invention is to provide a surface processing method and device for a tape or sheet.

The shape of the solid substance does not necessarily have to be a cylindrical shape, and when it is used by being fixed, it is a base of an adhesive tape or sheet (hereinafter abbreviated as an adhesive sheet) such as a semi-cylindrical shape. It does not matter if there is no protrusion or the like at the portion where the back surface of the material comes into contact and the shape is slidable.

By combining solid substances having a small width, it is possible to form a combination of solid substances having a required width according to the width of the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet to be surface-treated. As a result, a solid substance having a width required for the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet to be surface-treated is brought into contact with the back surface of the base material layer of the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet on which the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is laminated, and sliding friction is caused between the base material and the solid substance to generate a base material. Shearing force can be applied to the back surface of the material layer.

The number of buff collars 10 (eg, FIG. 1) is made equal to the surface processed width of the adhesive sheet 7 to be processed next.
In the example of FIG. 4, 8 pieces, and in the example of FIG. 4, the central 3 pieces are determined, and both ends thereof are fixed by the separate collar 13. Since the separate collar 13 can be of a detachable type, this fixing can be easily performed. When all the buff collars 10 are not used as shown in FIG. 4, the extra buff collars 10 are moved to both ends of the support shaft 12 that does not come into contact with the mating drive roll 6, and fixed with the separate collar 13 in the same manner as above so as not to move. Leave. When the surface processed width of the adhesive sheet 7 to be treated is different, the number of the buff collars 10 is appropriately selected according to the surface processed width of the adhesive sheet 7, and both ends of the selected number of buff collars 10 are separated.

The surface of the adhesive sheet 7 is processed as follows. As described above, a plurality of buff collars 10 are combined according to the width of the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet 7 to be surface-processed to form the buff roll 4, and then the roll 9 is applied with tension on the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet 7 sent from the previous step. Shearing is applied to the back surface of the base material layer of the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet 7 through the space between the support roll 6 and the support roll 6 for surface processing. The surface-treated pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet 7 is passed through a roll 8 to the next step and used as a wound body.

EFFECTS OF THE INVENTION By combining solid substances having a small width, the surface processing width can be arbitrarily set, and the solid substance having a width required for the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet to be surface-processed can be used as the base of the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet laminated with the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. Since it is possible to apply a shearing force to the back surface of the base material layer by bringing it into contact with the back surface of the material layer and causing sliding friction between the base material and the solid substance, the adhesive sheet winding can be performed without using a release agent. It is possible to improve the rewindability of the heavy body and to carry out the surface treatment of pressure-sensitive adhesive sheets of various widths without causing scratches on the roll.
