(Prior art) The conventional partition structure of this type of air bag is as follows:
As shown in FIG. 3, one connecting piece 21 is placed between the opposing inner surfaces of two outer skins 20, both ends of which are joined to the inner surfaces of each outer skin 20, and each joined part is pasted. In particular, devices in which the air chamber 22 is partitioned are known.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) However, in the above-described structure, a peeling force is always exerted on the adhesive part 23 between the outer skin 20 and the connecting piece 21 due to the pressure of the air sealed in the air chamber. At times, when impact loads are repeatedly applied to the outer skin 20, a problem arises in that the outer skin 20 peels off from the connecting piece 21.

Structure of the device (means for solving the problem) In order to solve the above problem, this device configures the air chamber 3 in a sealed manner with a flexible outer skin 2, and divides the air chamber 3 into two. In an air bag 1 provided with at least one partition member, the partition member is composed of a pair of overlapping connecting pieces 4, and the connecting pieces 4 are arranged in the overlapping state at each end of both connecting pieces 4. The opposite sides are joined to the inner surface of the outer skin 2, and both connecting pieces 4 are connected at the joined parts.
The gist is that the outer skin 2 and the outer skin 2 are attached to each other.

(Function) In the air bag of this invention having the above-described structure, even if pressure is applied from any one of the air chambers 3 partitioned by the connecting pieces 4, the pressure will exert a tensile force on the connecting pieces 4. Acts as a force.

Reference numeral 1 indicates the entire air bag, and an air chamber 3 is formed by two outer skins 2 made of flexible synthetic resin sheets such as vinyl chloride. The air chamber 3 is partitioned by two connecting pieces 4 made of the same material as the outer skin 2. The synthetic resin sheet used as the outer skin 2 and the connecting piece 4 is laminated with a woven fabric 7 for increasing strength.

To explain the adhesion structure between each of the outer skins 2 and each of the connecting pieces 4, two connecting pieces 4 are arranged in a superimposed state between the opposing inner surfaces of each of the outer skins 2. The opposing sides of the connecting pieces 4 arranged in the overlapping state at both ends of each connecting piece 4 are respectively joined to the inner surface of each outer skin 2, and each joint portion has an outer skin 2.
The adhesive portion 5 is formed by melt-bonding the connecting piece 4 and the connecting piece 4 using a welder welding machine. In addition, each adhesion part 5 is provided with a protrusion 6 by a concave groove formed on the mold surface of the pressing die of the welder welding machine, so that the outer skin 2 and the woven fabric 7 of the connecting piece 4 are exposed to heat during adhesion. It is now possible to prevent it from becoming more vulnerable.

Therefore, in the air bag 1 of this embodiment, 2
Since the two outer skins 2 and the two connecting pieces 4 are attached at a total of four locations and form an X strip when in use, the pressure within the air chamber 3 acts on each connecting piece 4 as a tensile force. Therefore, unlike in the past, there is no possibility that peeling force will act on each adhesive part 5, and the strength of each adhesive part 5 can be dramatically increased. Further, each of the outer skins 2 and the connecting pieces 4 includes a woven fabric 7, and since the protrusions 6 prevent the woven fabric 7 from deteriorating during welding, the strength is further increased. In addition, both connecting pieces 4
Since the two connecting pieces 4 are integrated by the adhesive part 5, the tensile force acts equally on each connecting piece 4.

Note that FIG. 2a shows a test piece P1 having the structure of the above embodiment, and FIG. 2b shows a test piece P2 having a conventional structure. Each test piece P1, P2
Each of these sheets was manufactured with a synthetic resin sheet having a thickness of 0.57 mm, a width of 1 cm, and a length of the adhesive part of 1 cm. As a result of pulling both ends of each test piece P1, P2,
Test piece P1 was cut at about 26.5 kg, and test piece P2 was cut at about 7 kg. As a result, it was found that the structure of the embodiment of this invention had strength approximately 3.8 times that of the conventional structure.

Effects of the Invention As detailed above, according to this invention, the partition member is composed of a pair of overlapping connecting pieces, and of each end of the connecting pieces, in particular, the opposite sides of the connecting pieces are covered with outer skins. Since it is attached to the inner surface of the outer skin, no matter which side of the air chamber applies pressure to the partition, only tensile force is always applied to the connecting piece, which increases the adhesion strength of the connecting piece to the outer skin. Therefore, it is possible to reliably prevent their peeling, which is an excellent effect.
