終的に芯決め保持され、同時にフランジがスピンドル先
端面に密着する。この場合、口元部の軸方向長さは余り
長くできないため、工具ホルダの傾きを抑える機能が低
下するが、工具ホルダはフランジにおいてスピンドル先
端面に密着するため、工具ホルダの傾きは阻止される。
かくて、スピンドルに対する位置精度を左程必要としな
い荒加工用等の工具ホルダは、そのシャンク部において
テーパ穴に嵌合する従来通りのものとし、仕上げ加工用
の工具ホルダを上記の如く構成することにより、テーパ
穴の摩耗によっても仕上げ加工用の工具ホルダのスピン
ドルに対する位置精度を確保して、高精度の加工を行い
得られる。尚、口元部のテーパ角が大きいと、テーパ部
の外周面が口元部の内周面に当接してからテーパ部を締
め代を持って更に押し込むことが困難になり、フランジ
がスピンドル先端面に当接する前にテーパ部が口元部に
嵌合したときはフランジが浮いてしまい、又テーパ部が
口元部に嵌合する前にフランジがスピンドル先端面に当
接してそれ以上の押し込みが規制されたときは芯決め精
度がでず、そのためスピンドルと工具ホルダの高精度の
寸法管理が必要となる。テーパ角が小さければ、テーパ
部を口元部に締め代を持って押し込み易くなり、フラン
ジがスピンドル先端面に当接する前にテーパ部が口元部
に嵌合しても、テーパ部を更に押し込んでフランジをス
ピンドル先端面に密着させることができる。従って、口
元部のテーパ角はテーパ穴のテーパ角より小さくするこ
とが望ましい。

ると共に、該テーパ部23の尾方に前記テーパ穴10に
遊挿される前後2段のガイドテーパ部24を形成した。
前記フランジ21は、テーパ部23が口元部11に嵌合
した状態でスピンドル1の先端面12に密着するように
形成されており、かくて工具ホルダ2は、テーパ部23
の口元部11への嵌合と、フランジ21のスピンドル先
端面12への密着とにより、芯ずれや傾きを生ずること
なく正確にスピンドル1に保持される。図中25はシャ
ンク部22の尾端に突設したプルスタッドであり、スピ
ンドル1に内挿した図示しないドローバーをプルスタッ
ド25に係合させてシャンク部22を押し引きする。
