Abstract

ている。このような状況の中で、操作者が机上等の平面
上で任意の方向にマウスを移動し、表示装置の画面上に
表示されたカーソル位置が所望の位置にある場合にマウ
スに設けられたスイッチボタンを押すが、図4に示すよ
うに、手のひらでマウス101をつかみ込み、スイッチ
ボタンの上に指をおいて、スイッチボタンを押すと、マ
ウスにかかる握力が小さいためにマウスが固定されず動
きやすい為、必要とする位置でスイッチボタンが押せな
い場合があった。また、マウス101を手のひら全体で
つかみこんで所望の位置にきてからスイッチボタンを押
す場合にも、指をスイッチボタンに掛けるときに、その
勢いでマウスがずれ、任意の位置でスイッチボタンが押
しにくいなどの操作性上の問題があった。

スイッチの接点情報がインターフェースケーブル104
を介して外部に、即ち、図示されない表示装置に出力さ
れる。これによりスイッチボタンを押すときに発生して
いた入力ミスを防止する事ができる。

【特許請求の範囲】 【請求項1】平面上を任意に移動させることにより、そ
の移動に対応した移動情報を出力する表示装置用の座標
入力装置において、該座標入力装置の本体の内部にスイ
ッチを設け、該座標入力装置の上部カバーは前記本体に
対し弾性体により少なくとも一部が上方向に浮き上がる
ように取付けられ、前記スイッチは前記上部カバーが浮
き上がった状態ではオフ、前記上部カバーが押下された
ときオンとなって、接点情報を出力することを特徴とす
る座標入力装置。
