Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the oil discharging operation efficiency and achieve facilitation of the oil discharging operation by bringing the propeller device to a tilt-up condition wherein the upper portion of an oil pan is located over a hull, thereby enabling a discharged oil to be recovered into a hull via an oil discharge drain port. CONSTITUTION:In replacement of oil, in a case where the oil in an oil pan 24 is discharged, a propeller 10 is maximally tilted up. At this time, an engine 15 is located upwardly of a stern 2 of a hull 1, and a crank case 17 is inclined and situated in a lower position, by which the oil 27 gathers at an upper/front portion of the oil pan 24 shaped like V in section. Then, a top cover 14 of the propeller device 10 is demounted whereby a front discharge port 31 is released through removing a drain bolt 32. Then, a rear bolt 30 is removed to make a ventilation port 29 open. Thus, the oil 27 in the oil pan 24 flows out of the discharge port 31 to be recovered into an oil receiver 34 placed therebeneath.

The above propulsion device 10 is tilted up to the maximum. The propulsion unit 10 tilts upward as shown in FIG.
5 faces above the stern 2 of the hull 1, and the crankcase 17 inclines to the lower position. The tilt-up state is held by a stopper that can be freely engaged and disengaged. Oil 27 is in the oil pan 2
As a result of the tilting of the four, they gather at the front of the top of it. In this state, remove the cover 14 on the upper part of the propulsion unit 10, which is inclined,
The front discharge hole 31 is removed from the drain bolt 32. Along with this, the oil receiver 34 is previously arranged below the discharge hole 31, and after that, the bolt 30 at the rear portion is removed, and the vent hole 29 is removed.
Is opened, and the oil flows out to the oil receiver 34 at the stern of the hull and is collected. In this way, when the oil in the oil pan 24 is discharged, it can be discharged into the hull 1, and there is no need to perform the oil discharge, recovery, and replacement work outside the hull, for example, outside the stern.

In order to achieve the above effects, the oil discharge hole of the oil pan is provided in the front part so as to be higher than the oil surface, and the propulsion unit is tilted up to discharge the oil into the stern. Therefore, the above effect can be obtained with a simple structure, and the oil can be effectively discharged by setting the position of the discharge hole of the oil pan as described above and installing the ventilation hole, and the structure is simple, and the special mechanism or device can be used. The oil can be drained, collected, and replaced inside the hull without the need for.

In addition to the above, conventionally, when oil is changed, extra work such as removing the propulsion unit from the hull is not required, and the oil can be easily discharged. Further, when the oil is discharged, it can be performed only by tilting up the propulsion device as described above, and the oil exchange time can be significantly shortened, and the oil exchange can be efficiently performed in combination with the simplification of the work as described above. Has the effect of.
