Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the frictional force, between a feed roller and articles-to- be-carried, also carrying force, and prolong the life of the roller, even deterioration is caused due to carrying the articles-to-be-carried many times. CONSTITUTION:In a rubber roller 6, having irregularities on the outer periphery, and for feeding sheets (sheetlike articles-to-be-carried) 4 such as papers by contacting the outer peripheral surface 5, through holes 8, along in the rubber roller 6 shaft direction, are formed in protruded parts 7 of the outer periphery 5. In this rubber roller 6, carrying the sheets 4 many times causes the deterioration of the protruded part 7 surface, and the abrasion and the rupture at last of the upper parts of the through holes 8. Consequently the number of the protruded parts 7 is doubled. Also the angle of a part 9, contacting the sheets is increased due to the deterioration. Thus the number of the protruded parts 7 is doubled, and a new angle is made, retaining frictional force and carrying force. Also, new surfaces, contacted nothing, in the inner surfaces of the through holes 8 appear, and an area, in which the sheets 4 contact the rubber roller 6, is increased, also retaining the frictional and the carrying force.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in a copying machine or the like, a sheet-shaped object to be conveyed such as paper is placed by a rubber roller having an uneven outer peripheral surface. When such a rubber roller is conveyed a certain number of times, the surface of the roller is deteriorated and the frictional force is reduced, so that the rubber roller must be replaced. Further, the roller that must maintain a high friction coefficient (high μ) was deteriorated faster and had a shorter life. FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view showing in detail the convex portion 2 of an example of the conventional rubber roller 1. As shown in FIG. 2 (A), the rubber roller 1 has a convex portion 2 on its circumference, and as shown in FIG. 2 (B), the convex portion 2 is formed so that its cross section is rectangular. There is. In the same (B), a hatched portion 3 is a portion that contacts the object to be transported during transportation.

However, when the conventional rubber roller 1 is used and the above-mentioned portion 3 deteriorates, its angle decreases and the angle widens.
The area in contact with the transported object was reduced, and the frictional force and the transporting force were eliminated. That is, in the conventional rubber roller 1, there is a problem that as the contact portion 3 deteriorates, the area in contact with the transported object also decreases and the angle changes to a disadvantageous angle. The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned conventional problems, and provides a conveyance roller in which the frictional force between the feed roller and the conveyed object is increased, the conveyance force is increased, and the life of the roller is extended. The task is to do.

In the feed roller, a hollow hole along the axial direction of the feed roller is formed in the convex portion of the outer peripheral surface, and when the convex portion deteriorates and decreases, the upper portion of the hollow hole tears and the hollow hole is exposed to the outside. I'm trying to open it. As a result, the inner surface of the hollow hole of the convex portion comes into contact with the object to be conveyed, so that the frictional force increases and the conveying force also increases.

Embodiments of the present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the drawings. In this embodiment, a rubber roller having a structure as shown in FIG. 1 (A) and having irregularities on the outer periphery and for feeding sheets (sheet-like conveyed objects) 4 such as paper in contact with the outer peripheral surface 5 6, a through-hole (corresponding to a hollow hole) 8 having a rectangular cross section is formed substantially in the center of the convex portion 7 of the outer peripheral surface 5 along the axial direction of the rubber roller 6. The rubber roller 6 is mainly used in a copying machine, but the application to the copying machine is not limited as long as it is a roller for feeding the sheets 4. FIG. 1B shows the convex portion 7 in detail. In FIG. 1B, the portion of the convex portion 7 indicated by reference numeral 9 is a portion that comes into contact when the sheets 4 are conveyed. The larger the area of this portion 9, the greater its frictional force and conveyance force. When the sheets 4 are conveyed many times on the rubber roller 6,
When the surface of the convex portion 7 is deteriorated and the deterioration is advanced, the upper portion of the through hole 8 is reduced, and finally the through hole 8 is torn. Therefore, the number of convex portions 7 is doubled. Although the angle of the portion 9 is increased due to the deterioration, the number of the convex portions 7 is doubled in this way and a new angle appears, so that the frictional force and the conveying force are retained. In addition, a new untouched surface of the inner surface of the through hole 8 appears, and the area in which the sheets 4 come into contact with the rubber roller 6 increases, so that the frictional force and the conveying force are retained. Therefore, the rubber roller 6 of the embodiment can retain the frictional force and the conveying force even if the sheets 4 are conveyed many times and deteriorated. Although the rubber roller is shown as the feeding roller in the above-mentioned embodiment, the scope of the present invention is not limited to this.
The present invention can be implemented with rollers made of materials other than rubber. The cross-sectional shape of the through-hole of the feed roller is preferably rectangular as described above, but is not limited to this, and other shapes such as a polygonal shape can be adopted.

As described above, according to the present invention, even if the object to be conveyed is fed many times and deteriorated, the frictional force between the feed roller and the object to be conveyed is increased and the conveying force is also increased. It is possible to obtain an excellent effect that the life of the device is extended.
