 In a vehicle such as a cab-over type vehicle where the engine room is not in the front part of the vehicle body, the brake master cylinder is arranged under the instrument panel.

In such a vehicle, a brake pedal bracket is arranged along the front panel inner of the vehicle body up to the instrument panel, and a brake master cylinder is installed at an intermediate portion of the brake pedal bracket. In such a vehicle, the brake pipe of the brake master cylinder is guided to the floor panel along the brake pedal bracket, penetrates the panel and is connected to the wheel cylinder, and the brake vacuum pipe of the brake master cylinder is also connected.  1 and 2 show a brake pipe and a brake vacuum pipe according to the present invention.

As shown in FIG. 1, the brake pedal bracket 1 is arranged along the front panel inner 2 of the vehicle body, and is installed on the front panel outer 4 of the vehicle body by the bracket 3.

A brake master cylinder 5 is provided at an intermediate portion of the brake pedal bracket 1. The brake pedal bracket 1 has a U-shaped cross section.

The brake pipes 6 and 6 of the master cylinder 5 are piped along the bracket 1 to the lower part of the bracket 1. These brake pipes 6 and 6 are clamped to the bracket 1 at appropriate places.

On the other hand, the brake vacuum pipe 7 of the master cylinder 5 is also piped along the bracket 1 to the lower part of the bracket 1. This vacuum pipe 7 is also clamped to the bracket 1 at appropriate points.

As shown in FIG. 2, the lower portions of the brake pipes 6 and 6 are clamped to the stay 8 welded to the bracket 1, and the lower ends thereof are connected to the brake pipe joint 9.

The joint 9 has a flange 10 at an intermediate portion, and a casting bolt 11 is formed on the flange 10 downward. A rib 12 is formed on a portion of the joint 9 on the vacuum pipe 7 side, and a casting bolt 13 is formed on the rib 12 so as to face upward.

On the other hand, a bracket 14 is welded to the lower portion of the vacuum pipe 7, and a bolt insertion hole 15 is formed in the bracket 14.

Then, the bolt 13 of the joint 9 is inserted into the hole 15 of the bracket 14 and the nut 16 is engaged with the bolt 13, so that the joint 9 is held by the vacuum pipe 7.

Further, the floor panel 17 is formed with a hole 18 for receiving the lower portion of the joint 9, a bolt insertion hole 19 and a grommet fitting hole 20. Then, the lower portion of the joint 9 is fitted into the hole 18, the bolt 11 is inserted into the hole 19, the nut 21 is engaged with the bolt 11 to fix the joint 9 to the floor panel 17, and the vacuum pipe. The grommet 22 fitted to the hole 7 is engaged with the hole 20 to hold the vacuum pipe 7 on the floor panel 17.

Although the brake pipe joint 9 is installed on the floor panel 17 in the above embodiment, the present invention can be applied to the case where the joint 9 is installed on the dash panel.

[Effect of the device]

 As described above, in the brake pipe joint mounting structure according to the present invention, the brake pipe joint is fastened to the brake vacuum pipe. Therefore, the brake pipe can be assembled, and the fastening work can be facilitated.
