(産業上の利用分野) 本発明は、自動車等に用いられるモータ等のコ
ンミテータ用材料に関するものである。 (従来技術とその問題点) 従来、自動車等に用いられるモータ等のコンミ
テータ用材料として、Ag0.2wt%、残部Cuより
成る合金材料が広く使用されているが、この合金
材料から成るコンミテータは急激に摩耗するとい
う問題がある。 (発明の目的) 本発明は、上記問題を解決すべくなされてもの
であり、耐摩耗性に優れたコンミテータ用材料を
提供することを目的とするものである。 (発明の構成) 上記目的を達成するための本発明のコンミテー
タ用材料のは、Cu70〜95wt%、Li、Na、Mg、
Caの少なくとも1種0.01〜2.1wt%、残部Agより
成るものである。 斯かる本発明のコンミテータ用材料において、
Cu70〜95wt%とした理由は、摩耗を抑え乍ら導
電性を維持するためとコストの低減を図るため
で、70wt%未満ではコストの低減が少なく、
90wt%を超えると摩耗を減少できないからであ
る。Li、Na、Mg、Caの少なくとも1種0.01〜
2.1wt%とした理由は、このコンミテータを酸敗
ガソリン中、メタノール等のガス雰囲気で使用す
る際には、酸化を抑制するためで、0.01wt%未満
ではその効果が無く、2.1wt%超えると加工性が
悪くなり、しかも酸化抑制効果がそれ以上良くな
ることが無いしかもコスト高となるからである。 (実施例) 本発明によるコンミテータ用材料の実施例を従
来例と共に説明する。 下記の表の左欄に示す成分組成の実施例1〜4
と従来例1のコンミテータ用材料にて作つたコン
ミテータを自動車に用いられるモータに取り付け
て、メタノールのガス雰囲気中で2400rpmで回転
して、Cu−Cより成る摺動接点と摺動試験し、
摩耗量を測定し、酸化の程度を検査した処、下記
の右欄に示すような結果を得た。

タを得ることができるという効果があり、従来の
コンミテータ用材料にとつて代わることのできる
画期的なものといえる。
