As shown in Fig. 4, a float-type liquid spout device installed in a conventional storage battery such as an electric lead-acid battery has a cylindrical body a1 of a liquid spout A connected to a liquid fill port C provided on a battery lid B. An internal space surrounded by the cylindrical body a1 of the liquid port plug A, an observation rod e2 that extends vertically upward from the main body e1 of the float E, which is attached to the periphery and floated on the electrolytic solution D in the battery container. A through hole H provided in the float support isolation G that divides F into a liquid injection space f 1 and a float accommodation space f 2
the cylindrical body a1 of the liquid port plug A.
The top opening of the internal space is opened and closed by lifting and rotating the lid plate A 2 which is pivotally attached to the outer surface of the tank . It is sufficient to replenish water to the highest level through the tank, but it is often necessary to replenish water in excess of that level
In this case, as shown in the fourth diagram, the main body of the float E
The shoulder of e 1 comes into contact with the lower surface of the downwardly inclined wall 6c provided at the lower end of the float support bulkhead G, preventing it from rising any further, and this is connected to the upper part of the rod e 2 of the float E.
This is confirmed by the rise of the display mark e 3 placed on the pipe, and the overfilling of water is stopped and blocked.

In the above conventional device, the rod upper part e2 of the float E is damaged due to over-replenishment, and the cylindrical body a1 of the liquid port A is damaged due to over-replenishment.
When the float E protrudes significantly upward from the top of the opening, the rod-shaped portion e2 of the float E becomes an obstacle when closing the lid, making it difficult to close the lid. , the rotation of the lid plate when closing the lid causes damage such as bending the rod-shaped part e 2 of the float E, and as a result, the function of the float that moves up and down in response to the subsequent decrease and increase in the electrolyte in the float E. causes the inconvenience of disappearing.

The present invention provides a float-type electrolyte plug device for a storage battery that solves the problems of the above-mentioned conventional devices. The device is a vent plug consisting of a cylindrical body having an internal space for electrolyte injection and a float support partition that divides the interior into a float accommodation space and an insertion hole for inserting the observation rod of the float, and a lid body attached to the outer surface of the cylindrical body so that it can be raised and lowered to open and close the opening of the cylindrical body. The vent plug is attached to the periphery of the electrolyte injection port provided in the battery lid, and the rod-shaped part of the float floating on the electrolyte surface in the battery case is inserted into the float support partition. In the float type liquid port plug device for a storage battery, which is inserted into the insertion hole so as to be able to move up and down, a locking protrusion is provided on the side of the rod-shaped part of the float, and when the electrolyte level reaches the maximum liquid level or higher during refilling, the locking protrusion comes into contact with the underside of the float support partition or the underside of the periphery of the liquid port, stopping the rise of the float, and the cover plate used for closing the liquid port comes into contact with the top of the rod-shaped part of the stopped float at a rotational angle of approximately 45° or more to the vertical, stopping the rise of the float at a low position.

When refilling water, when the electrolyte level reaches the highest level after replenishing water through the inlet space of the liquid port plug, or shortly after it exceeds the highest level, the locking protrusion on the side surface of the rod-shaped part of the ascending float comes into contact with the lower surface of the float support partition or the lower surface of the rim of the liquid inlet to stop the float from rising. The raised position of the float when it stops is such that the top of the rod-shaped part is in contact with the vertical line when the lid plate is used to close the liquid inlet.
A large downward pressing force from the lid plate acts on the rod-shaped portion of the float, so that the rod-shaped portion of the float can be smoothly pushed down and housed in the cylindrical body, and the liquid port can be closed.

According to the present invention, at least one locking protrusion 12 is provided on the side surface of the rod-shaped portion 9b of the float 9, and when the surface of the electrolytic solution D reaches the maximum liquid level or higher during water replenishment, the locking projection 12 The stopping protrusion comes into contact with the lower surface of the float support partition wall 6 or the lower surface of the periphery of the liquid inlet to stop the float from rising, and a lid plate for closing the liquid inlet is placed on the top of the rod-shaped portion of the stopped float. The float is configured to stop rising at a low position where the float contacts the vertical line at a rotation angle of approximately 45 degrees or more.

Thus, in the water replenishment work, when the electrolyte D level rises and over-replenishment is performed beyond the highest liquid level shown in the first figure, the float 9 also rises accordingly, as is clear from the second figure. Rod-shaped part 9 of float 9
The protrusion 12 provided at the lower part of the float 9 comes into contact with the lower surface of the U-shaped arm 6c at the lower end of the float support partition 6, and the float 9 stops rising. The stopped float 9
The raised position is such that when the top of the rod-shaped portion 9b rotates the cover plate 1b to collapse to close the liquid injection port, the rotation angle θ of the cover plate 1b with respect to the vertical line is 45°.
When the float 9 reaches the bottom, it can be stopped at a low position that hits the top of the rod-shaped portion 9b of the float 9.

Therefore, when the water replenishment is stopped when the float 9 stops rising and the cover plate 1b is rotated to the closing side, the cover plate 1b moves the float 9 at a rotation angle of 45°.
Since the top of the rod-like part 9b can be pushed down, a large downward pushing action can be given to the rod-like part 9b, so if the cover plate 1b is subsequently tilted toward the closing side, the top of the rod-like part 1b is pushed by the cover plate 1b. Press the side and cover plate 1
b reaches the position where it horizontally fits on the upper edge of the cylindrical body 1a and closes the liquid port, while the rod-shaped part 1b is stored in the cylindrical body 1b in contact with the back surface of the lid plate 1b. The blockage is completed.

In addition, although the above two embodiments illustrated the case where the rise of the float 9 is stopped by the engagement of the protrusion 12 at the time of excessive water replenishment, when the highest liquid level of the electrolytic solution D is reached due to water replenishment. At the same time, the protrusion 12 may abut and lock on the lower surface of the float support partition 6 or the lower surface of the lip 4. In this case, the float 9 can be further stopped at a fixed position, and the rod-shaped portion of the float 9 can be rotated at a larger rotation angle when closing the lid plate.
Since it comes into contact with the top of b, the float can be pressed down and closed more smoothly.

As described above, according to the present invention, as the electrolyte rises during rehydration, a locking protrusion is provided on the observation rod-shaped part of the float that comes into contact with the lower surface of the float support partition or the lower surface of the mouth rim of the liquid injection port, When the protrusion engages with the lower surface as the float rises, the raised position of the float is adjusted so that the lid plate that rotates when the lid is applied to the top of the rod-shaped portion of the float rotates approximately 45 degrees or more with respect to the vertical line. Since it is made to hit at a moving angle, it has the effect of eliminating bending of the rod-shaped portion of the float during the lid closing operation and smoothly closing the liquid inlet.
