In the conventional heating method described above, the portion of the burner frame that is in contact with the frame is rapidly heated and the temperature rises rapidly, while the temperature of the portion that is not in contact with the frame is low and the temperature of the frame is in contact with the burner. A difference in temperature and a difference in thermal expansion occur between the part and the part that does not hit. As a result, the irregular refractory structure becomes uneven,
Various cracks such as surface cracks, internal cracks, and interlayer cracks were generated, which was a major factor in shortening the refractory life.

If the temperature of the burner frame hits too fast, the moisture in the irregular shaped refractory cannot be smoothly removed, causing a steam explosion or cracks in the constructed refractory. For that reason, it has to be reconstructed, which is troublesome, and it is also dangerous because refractory materials scatter. The present invention has been made for the purpose of eliminating the above problems caused by local heating.

The tubular body used in the present invention may be tubular or divergent tubular. The cross-sectional shape is usually circular, but may be square, elliptical, or any other shape. When there are a plurality of holes formed in the cylindrical body, each hole may be a hole of uniform size, but it is preferable that the size of the hole becomes gradually smaller toward the top or the pitch becomes smaller. Is formed as a hole. By increasing the amount of heat radiation toward the bottom, the temperature distribution in the tundish becomes uniform.

According to this method, the hot air blown out from the tube 16 and the radiant heat from the tube allow the inside of the tundish to be filled with hot air having a high uniform temperature.
2 and the perm material 13 are uniformly heated and dried without causing a temperature difference depending on the site. FIG. 4 shows the measurement of the ambient temperature on the first strand side and the second strand side in the tundish heated by this method using a thermocouple.
Incidentally, FIG. 5 shows the ambient temperature at the same location when heated by the conventional method shown in FIG.

As is apparent from a comparison of FIGS. 4 and 5, the temperature difference between the one-strand side and the two-strand side is smaller by this method, and heating similar to the set heating curve is performed. . FIG. 6 shows the life of the tundish refractory when the construction refractory is heated and dried by this method and when it is heat-dried by the conventional method. In the case of the conventional method, a minimum of 196 charges (ch),
The maximum number of 300 ch and the average of 242 ch were improved to the minimum of 263 ch, the maximum of 365 ch, and the average of 295 ch in the case of this method.

The present invention is constructed as described above and has the following effects. According to the method of claim 1 and the device of claim 2, the burner frame does not directly hit the construction refractory, and hot air in the cylinder heated by the burner frame is formed on the side surface of the cylinder. The tundish will be filled with hot air of high temperature and uniform temperature by radiant heat from the cylindrical body, so that the construction refractory will be heated uniformly without local heating. Since the refractory can be dried and therefore does not cause a difference in thermal expansion depending on the site, a refractory having a uniform structure without cracks is obtained, and the life of the refractory is improved.

By forming the holes as in the apparatus according to the third aspect, the temperature distribution in the tundish or the like becomes uniform. By providing the ejector pipe as in the apparatus according to the fourth aspect, the diffusion of hot air in the cylinder is promoted, and the temperature in the tundish or the like can be raised more uniformly and smoothly.
