PURPOSE:To provide an electric rotating machine equipped with a fan rotatable together with a rotor to cool the rotor and the stator wherein manufacturing cost is reduced by reducing manpower required in manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of recesses 2 are embossed in zigzag in a tubular stainless steel plate which is then pressed into a frame 1. A stator core 4 is supported, at the outer periphery thereof, by a protruding part on the inner peripheral side of the recess 2 thus providing a gap for feeding cooling air between the outer frame 1 of stator and the stator 4.
