2. Description of the Related Art In the conventional liquid crystal panel manufactured as described above, when the gap between the glass substrates is not uniform, the liquid crystal panel causes color unevenness so that the gap amount is made uniform over the entire surface of the glass substrate. There is a need. Various solutions to this problem have been proposed, and almost all the objects can be achieved. On the other hand, since the glass substrate is very thin, a clear display cannot be obtained unless it is pressed uniformly, and an expensive glass substrate provided with a transparent electrode must be discarded, and improvement in yield is desired. However, with respect to this problem, not only the glass substrate but also the parallelism between the pressure plate and the pressure receiving plate of the press machine is present, and a sufficient condition has not been realized yet.

The fixed plate 4 to which 4A is attached is fixed. A pressure transmission plate 5 is attached to the struts 3 and 3 by a sleeve 6,
A movable plate 7 fixedly mounted on the pressure transmission plate 5 with an upper surface (incorporated with a heater) 7A is arranged in an equilateral triangle shape when viewed from above. The load cells 8A, 8B and 8C are connected and supported. A convex housing 9 is fixed to the base 1, and a downward facing electric servomotor 10 is attached to the left upper surface of the convex housing 9. At the position of the protruding portion of the convex housing 9, a base is provided with a ball nut structure, and a press shaft 11 is provided which is slidably projected through the housing 9 and vertically moves along the inner surface of the housing 9. A ball screw vertically supported in the housing 9 is screwed into the ball nut of the press shaft 11, and the ball screw and the rotary shaft of the servo motor 10 are movably engaged with each other. Further, a transmission plate 5 is horizontally fixed to the upper end of the press shaft 11 via a bracket by the pressure.

Each of the load cells 8A, 8B and 8C has a controller 12 including a microcomputer, an amplifier 13A and an amplifier 13A,
13B, 13C and A / D converter 14 are electrically connected to each other, and the controller 12 composed of a microcomputer performs A / D conversion of signals from the load cells 8A, 8B, 8C, and converts them into actual loads. At the same time, the load difference between the individual load cells 8A, 8B, 8C is calculated from the actual load at three points, and if the value is larger than the value preset by the microcomputer, the load is not applied evenly. It is judged that the abnormality is output and an external buzzer is used to notify the abnormality. Further, a CRT display 15 is electrically connected to the controller 12 to determine which load cell 8
It is designed to monitor how much load is applied to A, 8B and 8C. As a result, it is possible to determine how the unbalanced load is applied, and the glass substrate is pressed by the pressure plate 7.
It is possible to know whether or not the glass substrate is set in the normal position of A or that the glass substrate is abnormal.

In the structure thus constructed, two glass substrates are placed on the pressure plate 7A in the state shown in FIG. 1 with their peripheral facing surfaces sealed with a sealant. Next, an electric current is passed through a heater (not shown) built in the pressure receiving plate 4A and the pressure plate 7A to heat the pressure receiving plate 4A and the pressure plate 7A to a predetermined temperature, and at the same time, the servo motor 10 is operated to press the pressure plate 7A. The two glass substrates are pressed together with the pressure receiving plate 4A at a predetermined pressure for a predetermined time. In this way, the two glass substrates are heated and pressurized at a predetermined temperature for a predetermined time, so that the sealant is heated and softened and then cured, and an empty cell for a liquid crystal panel is obtained.

At this time, the controller 12 calculates the load difference among the three load cells 8A, 8B, 8C, and if the value is larger than a preset value, the load is not applied uniformly. A judgment is made and a signal is sent from the controller 12 to a buzzer (not shown) to notify the abnormality. On the other hand, in the CRT display, since how much load is applied to which load cell is monitored, it is possible to confirm the shift of the position of the glass substrate or the abnormality of the glass substrate and restore the normal state based on this.

As is apparent from the above description, the present invention arranges three load cells in a triangular shape when viewed from a plane to support a pressure plate, and when pressing a glass substrate, a difference in load between the load cells is applied. If an abnormality is confirmed while confirming electrically, confirm the load condition of each load cell by the monitor of the CRT display and correct the set position of the glass substrate or replace the glass substrate. Therefore, there is an effect that the production yield of the liquid crystal panel can be significantly improved.
