Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the stability of the capacitance of a noise filter and a product yield by separating a dielectric film with folds at a given length, and by folding up the film by means of an application device. CONSTITUTION:Conductor foil 2 is formed on both sides of a dielectric film 1. This foil is formed into conductor patterns 3 and 4 in the shape of a rectangular tooth by etching. An insulating film is then formed on the surface of these conductor patterns 3 and 4. The dielectric film 1 thus prepared is then successively subjected, from its one end to the other end, to a folding machine to make folds in such a manner that angled portions of the rectangular toothlike conductor patterns 3 and 4 are alternated with each other. The dielectric film 1 with these folds is cut at a predetermined length, and the film separated is folded by an application device to produce an LC noise filter. Hence, a mass production of this LC noise filter can be carried out by making conductor patterns in a plurality of lines by etching.

In order to solve the above problems, a method for manufacturing an LC noise filter according to the present invention comprises forming conductor foils on both sides of an insulating film, and then etching these conductor foils to form rectangular tooth-like shapes. Conductor patterns are formed, then insulating films are formed on the surfaces of these conductor patterns, and then the insulating film thus formed is sequentially subjected to a conductor pattern by a crease imparting device from one end side to the other end side. In this method, folds are provided so that the bent portions of the rectangular tooth-like portions are alternately displaced, and then the insulating film provided with the folds is cut with a predetermined length and then folded by a crimping device.

The first conductor pattern 3 is for a capacitor, and the second conductor pattern 4 is for an inductor. In general, the insulating film 1 is formed continuously and in a large number of rows with the conductor patterns 3, 4 described above.
2A is formed, the insulating film 1 on which the insulating patterns 3 and 4 formed on the roll 11 have been formed is sequentially drawn out at the time of manufacturing, and the crease imparting device 12 causes the conductor to be formed. After the creases are provided so that the bent portions of the rectangular tooth-shaped portions of the patterns 3 and 4 are alternately displaced, as shown in FIG. 2B, the cutting device 13 cuts at a predetermined position, and as shown in FIG. The folding member 5 as shown in c) is formed. Of course, the cut ends of the conductor patterns 3 and 4 are cut at positions where they will become the terminal portions 3a, 4a, and 4b, as shown in FIGS. 1B and 1C. It is also possible to leave a dummy portion when cutting each of the conductor patterns 3 and 4, and cut at a predetermined terminal portion position during manufacturing.

As described above, according to the method for manufacturing the LC noise filter of the present invention, when the rectangular tooth-shaped conductor patterns are provided on both surfaces of the insulating film, they are formed by etching. Compared to the case where two conductors are bonded together, the accuracy of matching the patterns becomes very good, so that the stability of the capacitor capacity of the noise filter is improved and the product yield is improved. Also, on the insulating film with conductor patterns formed on both sides,
Since the crimping device presses the creases and then the crimping device presses the folds, the folds can be folded easily and accurately. Furthermore, in this manufacturing method, if the conductor patterns are formed in a plurality of rows by etching, mass production can be performed.
