Abstract

PURPOSE:To stably supply wire to stitchers of a saddle stitching machine and a side stitching machine, and enable the use of a large wire roll and the detection of remaining quantity of wire. CONSTITUTION:A wire support 1 furnished with an axis portion for mounting a bobbin 4 wound with wire 3; an arm portion 8 which is attached to a rotating body 7 installed on the axis portion over the bobbin 4 and whose end can revolve around the bobbin 4; a guide member 9 attached to the end of the rotating arm portion 8; and a feed guide member 12 for the wire 3 supplied through the guide member 9 are provided. The use of the bobbin 4 allows a wire roll to be replaced easily without tangling. As a stitcher pulls the wire 3, the rotating arm portion 8 revolves and the wire 3 is released from the bobbin. This permits the use of a large wire roll and therefore reduces the frequency of replacing the wire.
