を有するギロチン式の切断装置が開発されたのである。
しかし、ギロチン式の切断装置は、シート材のパスライ
ンに対して、略直角方向に薄板状の可動刃が作動するた
め一般的に背高になるので切断装置用のスペースが大き
くなるという問題点がある。このため、ミシン目加工用
と全幅切断用の2台のロータリーカッタを並べて設置
し、2台のうちのいずれかで目的の加工または切断をし
ようとすることも試みられたが、この方法では、シート
材のパスラインと平行な方向に余分なスペースが必要と

刃には、ミシン目加工用の鋸刃を形成し、他方の固定刃
には、全幅切断用の新直な刃先を形成しておいて、任意
の固定刃を可動刃に圧接してミシン目加工と全幅切断が
自在に選択できるようにして本願発明を完成したのであ
る。すなわち概略の構造としては、1本の回転刃に対し
て、左右から固定刃が前記回転刃に圧接しており、ミシ
ン目加工と全幅切断が任意に選択できる構造である。具
体的には、本願発明は、両端を回転または揺動可能に支
持され、回転または揺動の軸芯に対して略対称位置に刃
先を有する可動刃と、この可動刃の刃先に断続的に圧接
する鋸刃状の刃先を有する鋸刃固定刃と、可動刃に連続
的に圧接する真直な刃先を有する真直固定刃からなるも
のである。そして、鋸刃固定刃と真直固定刃を、可動刃
の回転または揺動の軸芯の左右に相対するこどく配置し

み合って切断した後、可動刃の刃先は鋸刃固定刃の谷部
へ移動して切断しなくなり、可動刃と鋸刃固定刃の圧接
は断続的となる。本実施例では、前述した剪断角は、図
1に示すように、可動刃の刃先線を可動刃自身の軸芯線
に対して傾けて形成し、噛込角は可動刃の一方端に設け

次に可動刃3をミシン目加工とは逆の方向の、真直固定
刃2側へ揺動させ、可動刃3の他方の刃先と真直固定刃
2の刃先を圧接して、紙の全幅を切断して切り離したと
ころ、通常の滑らかな切り口で切断をすることができ
た。このような構造のシート材の切断装置は、ロール状
に巻かれた紙の巻きぐせの内側が固定刃側となるような
構造にすると、紙の先端が紙の進行方向の2番目の固定
刃に引掛かりやすくなり、紙ジャムの発生原因となる。
そこで、図3に示すように相対する二つの固定刃の中間
位置にガイドAを設け、紙を案内して紙ジャムの発生を
防止した。図4は板ばねを長くしてその先端をL字状に
曲げ成形してガイドBとしたものであり、ガイドを支持
するための別の部材を設置する必要がなくなる。本実施
例では、固定刃は板ばねを用いて支持圧接し、板ばねに
固定刃の支持と可動刃への圧接の両者の動きを兼用させ
る構造としたが、固定刃の両端に軸を設けて揺動可能に
支持し、圧縮コイルばねや引張コイルばねにより圧接す
