(Prior Art) As shown in FIG. 4, a conventional connector generally has two rows of contacts a and b fixed to a plastic insulating block c, and legs a 1 and b 1 of each contact a and b. are made to protrude rearward, and connection portions a 2 and b 2 formed at their ends are soldered to conductive pads e and f provided on the printed circuit board a.

(Problem to be solved by the invention) According to the structure shown in FIG. 4, the distance l 1 between the connecting parts a 2 and b 2 is larger than the distance l 2 from the tips of the contacts a and b to the connecting part a 2 . Since this connector is quite short, when a female connector is connected to or disconnected from this connector, a force F in the vertical direction is likely to act in addition to a force in the direction of engagement and disconnection, and the lever action of this force F causes the connection part a 2 or b 2 to be A force of l 2 /l 1 ·F or (l 1 +l 2 )/l 1 ·F is applied, and there is a risk of overloading the soldered part.

Furthermore, since the distance l3 between the conductive pads e and f is short, there is a problem in that short circuits are likely to occur due to inclusions such as solder chips.

(Means for Solving the Problem) The means for solving the problem of the present invention is to fix a plurality of contacts to an insulating block in two rows, upper and lower, and to protrude the legs of the contacts from the rear surface of the insulating block. In the connector, the connecting portion of the contact is connected to a conductive pad of a printed circuit board provided in parallel with the contact portion of the contact,
The legs of the lower row are curved in a U-shape so as to protrude forward from the insulating block along the lower surface of the insulating block, and the legs of the upper row are bent downward behind the curved portion of the lower row; It is characterized in that a connecting portion is formed at the tip of each leg.

(Function) By the means described above, the distance between the connecting portions of both contacts is increased, and the resistance against leverage is increased. Further, since the distance between the conductive pad sub-plates can be made large, short circuits due to solder waste etc. can be avoided.

(Example) An example will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIGS. 1 to 3 show an example in which the present invention is applied to a male contact, and the explanation will be made assuming that the printed circuit board P side is at the bottom and the contact contact portion side is at the front.

A plurality of lower contacts 2 and a plurality of upper contacts 3 are attached to a plastic insulating block 1.
They are arranged in rows and fixed, and each contact has a contact part 4, 5, an intermediate profile part 6, 7, and a leg part 8, 9.
As shown in the figure, it has a cross-shaped cross section and is firmly connected to the insulating block 1. The cross section is formed by pressing the four sides of the contact 2 with a punch to form a recess 6a and a protruding ridge 6b.

The leg portion 8 of the lower contact 2 is provided with a U-shaped curved portion 10 and extends along the lower surface of the insulating block 1, and has a tip protruding forward of the block 1, and connects via an inclined portion 12a. 12 are formed. In the upper contact 3, the leg portion 9 is bent downward and then further bent backward to form a connecting portion 11.

Both connecting parts 11 and 12 are fixed to conductive pads 14 and 15 of printed circuit board P by soldering parts 16 and 17, but the distance between both connecting parts 11 and 12 is
If L 1 is the distance from the tips of the contact parts 4 and 5 to the lower connecting part 12, then L 1 is larger than L 2 , so the leverage is small, and when the female contact is engaged or disengaged. Even if the vertical force F acts, the force acting on both soldering parts 16 and 17 is small due to the lever action.
Furthermore, since the distance L3 between the two conductive pads 14 and 15 is also large, there is no fear that the two pads 14 and 15 will be short-circuited due to foreign objects.

As is clear from FIGS. 3a and 3b, on the lower surface of the insulating block 1, protrusions 18, 18... are provided at intermediate positions between the legs 8, 8... of the contact 2 and parallel to these. This restricts the displacement of the leg portion 8, and prevents short circuits with adjacent leg portions even if the leg portion 8 bends laterally.

(Effects of the Idea) As described above, since the connecting portions of the contacts are spaced apart from each other in the front and back, the resistance against the lever action is large, and the contacts can be firmly fixed to the printed circuit board. Furthermore, since the distance between the conductive pads of the substrate can be increased, there is no fear of short circuits caused by foreign objects.
