れず、かつ過酷な環境条件下で使用されるものに
あつては、耐ダスト性が低く、かつ潤滑剤に対す

本考案は、上記した従来の技術による密封装置
における問題点を考慮してなされたもので、ハウ

ム様弾性材料製主リツプ4を備えて前記ハウジン
グ2に装着された第1にシール3と、径方向部分
及び該径方向部分の内端から軸方向大気側に伸び
る円筒形状部分を備え前記第1のシール3の大気
側に位置してハウジング2に固定された径方向部
材8と、前記径方向部材8の大気側に位置し、径
方向内端側が前記回転軸1上に固定され、径方向
外端側に前記径方向部材8を覆う大径円筒部分1
2を設けるとともに、前記円筒形状部分の外周側
に位置し、前記径方向部分と摺動するゴム様弾性
材料製端面シールリツプ10を備えてなるスリン

シール3に隣接して保持リング6に固定され、小
径円筒部11及び保持リング6の外周と対向する
大径部12を有し、径方向部材8の側面と摺動す
るゴム様弾性材料製端面シールリツプ10を中間
に付されたスリンガ9が、小径円筒部11を回転
軸1に嵌合されて、径方向部材8及び端面シール
リツプ10によつて端面シールを形成し、小径円
筒部11の外周と径方向部材8の内端との間及び
大径部12と保持リング6の外周との間に、それ

を、設けるとともに、前記円筒形状部分の外周側
に位置し、前記径方向部分と摺動するゴム様弾性
材料製端面シールリツプを備えてなるスリンガと
を有していることにより、スリンガが回転軸の回
転に伴つて外部から侵入しようとするダストや泥
水を振り切り、それでもなお、スリンガの内部に
泥水等が侵入しても、端面シールリツプによりそ
れ以上の侵入を阻止し、端面シールリツプの摩耗
または破損が生じて泥水等がさらに侵入したとし
ても、径方向部材の円筒形状部分により受け止め
られ、受け止められた泥水等は前記円筒形状部分
を伝つて回転軸1の下部に移動し外部に排出され
