That is, a circular cleaning blade for cleaning the nozzle surface provided on the print head is arranged adjacent to one end of the platen roller, rotatably supported by the support shaft of the platen roller, and the cleaning is performed. While forming a small-diameter spur gear in the central part of the blade, while engraving and forming a large-diameter internal gear on the inner periphery of the platen roller, the internal gear of the small diameter of the cleaning blade through the intermediate gear It meshes with a spur gear, and when the print head comes to the standby position of the scanning end, the print head is made to correspond to the cleaning blade,
The nozzle surface of the print head is cleaned by rotating the cleaning blade via the intermediate gear by rotating the platen roller.

The nozzle of the print head can be cleaned by rotating the cleaning blade through the intermediate gear by the rotation of. At that time, the cleaning blade rotates faster than the platen roller in the opposite direction (downward) from the platen roller due to the large-diameter internal gear of the platen roller, so that the cleaning blade is wiped down without scattering the ink. And a good cleaning effect can be obtained.

Reference numeral 1 is a print head, 2 is a carriage integrated with the print head 1, and the print head 1 is reciprocally moved and scanned along a pair of guide bars 3 and 3.
The print head 1 is made to stand by at the scanning end on the front side in the drawing so as to correspond to the cleaning blade 7 arranged at one end of the platen roller 5 (see the chain double-dashed line), and the platen roller 5 moves the recording paper 4 in the direction of arrow A. And the cleaning blade 7 is rotated in the direction of arrow B by the rotating operation, and the nozzle surface 1a of the print head 1 is cleaned. The cleaning blade 7 rotates in a direction opposite to the platen roller 5 faster than the platen roller 5 and slides the nozzle surface 1a of the print head 1 downward, so that the case body 12 immediately below the nozzle surface 1a. [Refer to FIG. 1B] Ink can be blown off to the ink receiver 8 arranged above, and a good cleaning effect can be obtained without scattering ink.

As shown in FIG. 5, a ring body 7a having a radial blade formed of a synthetic rubber member is fitted on the outer circumference of a disc 7b, and the disc 7b is attached to a support shaft 9 for fixedly supporting the platen roller 5. It is rotatably supported. And
A small-diameter spur gear 11 is formed by engraving on a convex portion 7c formed on the central portion of one side surface of the disc 7b, and the spur gear 11 is rotatably supported by a support member 13 fixed to a case body 12. The intermediate gear 14 meshes with the internal gear 10 of the platen roller 5.

When rotated in the direction, the spur gear of the cleaning blade 7 passes from the internal gear 10 of the platen roller 5 to the intermediate gear 14.
Rotational force is transmitted to 11, and its cleaning blade 7
In the direction opposite to the platen roller 5, that is, in the B direction,
It can be rotated faster than the platen roller 5. Therefore, when the print head 1 comes to the standby position, the nozzle surface 1a provided on the front surface of the print head 1 corresponds to the cleaning blade 7, and when the platen roller 5 feeds the recording paper 5, the cleaning blade 7 is rotated. The nozzle surface 1a can be slidably contacted with the nozzle surface 1a, and dust or solidifying ink adhering to the nozzle surface 1a can be efficiently discharged to the lower ink receiver 8 without scattering.

It may be done in. In short, the cleaning may be appropriately performed at the same timing as the platen roller 5 rotates. By doing so, clear printing can always be performed.
Further, such a head cleaning device has a relatively simple structure and is compact, and can be formed at low cost.

While being movably supported, a small-diameter spur gear is engraved and formed in the central portion of the cleaning blade, while a large-diameter internal gear is engraved and formed on the inner periphery of the platen roller, and the internal gear is an intermediate gear. Meshes with a small diameter spur gear of the cleaning blade via, when the print head reaches the standby position of the scanning end, the print head is made to correspond to the cleaning blade, and the intermediate gear is rotated by the rotation of the platen roller. By rotating the cleaning blade through the Since to perform the sweep, and the cleaning blade platen roller in the reverse direction, without scattering the ink by rotating faster than the platen roller, it can be performed efficiently clean the nozzle face. Such a head cleaning device is
