Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce components of a reduction gear, etc., by placing a water trough afloat on water, damping vibration with water, and driving a washing/ spin-drying trough directly with a motor. CONSTITUTION:Water is stored in a water reserve 52 of an outer trough 42. A projection 43a on a water trough 41 is fitted in a supporting recess 44a in the outer trough 42 to support the water trough 41, which in this condition, is put afloat on water. The sides of this water trough 41 are supported by resilient members. A pulsator 47 is fixed to the water trough 41 through a pulsator shaft 46. A washing/spin-drying trough 40 is supported rotatably by the pulsator shaft 46. A motor 49 is fixed to the upper part of the water trough 41, and a motor roller 70 is fixed to the motor shaft 69. The motor roller 70 is contacted with a balancer cover 68 of the washing/spin-drying trough 40, which is thus rotated. A resistance body 41a is furnished at the periphery of the bottom of the water trough 41.

In the prior art described above, the water tank assembly having most of the internal functional parts with the washing and dewatering tank 9 at the top, that is, most of the product weight is the outer tank 2
Since it is suspended above the four corners of 7, the center of gravity of the support is high, and the outer tank 27 rolls greatly. In addition, there is a problem in strength of the four corners of the outer tub 27, and it is necessary to increase the wall thickness of the outer tub 27 or use a damping material. The degree of freedom is small and it is not possible to reduce costs.

As is apparent from the above description, the water tank in which the washing / dehydrating tank is rotatably installed is floated on the outer tank in which the lower part is sealed and the water is stored, and the bottom surface of the water tank is supported by the bottom surface of the outer tank. Therefore, the vibration of the washing / dehydrating tub is damped by water, and the vibration of the outer tub can be reduced. Moreover, since the supporting position is low, the center of gravity of the washing machine is low, the hem stability can be increased, the outer tub can be made thin, and the cost of the outer tub can be reduced.

Further, by directly driving the washing / dehydrating tub with the motor via the drive transmission unit, the number of parts can be reduced and the number of parts can be reduced as compared with the mechanical speed change system using a speed reducer, a washing / dehydration switching clutch and the like. As a result, the reliability of the product can be improved and the cost can be reduced.
