However, in such a diagnosis method, there is a case in which the equipment is diagnosed by using the accumulated data before that as a diagnosis target, although the maintenance work is performed by the staff. There is a problem that a false diagnosis is made to induce a failure, and even if the data target period is short, the data is insufficient to make a false diagnosis easily.

According to the present invention, when the performance of each part of the equipment is self-diagnosed, effective diagnosis data for a certain period or more is accumulated in the data storage means after the maintenance work performed by the staff on the equipment. When the control means makes a determination, it causes the display to display the self-diagnosis data result of each part of the device based on the effective diagnosis data. On the other hand, when it is determined that valid diagnostic data has not been accumulated, it is clearly displayed on the display that diagnosis is impossible due to lack of data.

As described above, the data storage means for storing the operation data for each operation output and the maintenance data for each maintenance operation that affect the performance of the equipment accurately manages the data to enable the effective diagnosis data and the invalid diagnosis. Since the data and the data are handled clearly, it is possible to eliminate the misdiagnosis in which invalid accumulated data before maintenance work is mistakenly targeted as a diagnosis target. Since the diagnosis is performed only when the data is stored and managed, it is possible to reliably prevent the occurrence of erroneous diagnosis due to insufficient data, and to obtain a highly reliable diagnosis result that accurately diagnoses the performance of each part of the device.

In addition to storing normal transaction data, the RAM 23 stores detailed day-to-day operation data 23a of each processing unit operating on the day. For example, in the case of banknote processing, detailed day operation data 23a such as the number of banknote transactions, the number of banknote payouts, the number of banknote payout errors, the number of banknote transport errors, the number of banknote jamming errors, and the number of banknote discrimination errors is stored and managed. The current day operation data 23a is transferred from the RAM 23 to the auxiliary storage unit 24 at the end of the business day. The same-day operation data 23a transferred to the above-mentioned auxiliary storage unit 24 is
It is recorded and managed as accumulated data (operation log data) 24a for each date, and the accumulated data 24a is read from the auxiliary storage unit 24 at the time of performance diagnosis of each processing unit, and the performance of each processing unit is diagnosed based on this accumulated data 24a. The accumulated data 24a is not stored because the operation data before the maintenance work date, which is normalized by the clerk performing maintenance work on the automatic teller machine 11, is invalid for performance diagnosis.
Only operation data that is effective for performance diagnosis after the maintenance work date is stored and managed. Further, when the effective accumulated data 24a for a certain number of days or more, which is the target of performance diagnosis, is provided, the CPU 2
1 is judged as valid diagnosis data, and the performance diagnosis of the automatic teller machine 11 is permitted. On the other hand, when there is a shortage of data that does not have the accumulated data 24a for a certain number of days or more, it is determined that the diagnosis cannot be performed.

The performance diagnosis operation of the automatic teller machine constructed as described above will be described with reference to the flowcharts of FIGS. 3 and 4. FIG. 3 shows the recording state of the same day operation data 23a obtained when the automatic teller machine 11 is operated. Now, when the automatic teller machine 11 is started, it waits in a transaction permitting state (step n1. ). In this waiting state, when the customer performs each transaction process such as deposit, withdrawal, passbook entry, balance inquiry, etc., detailed data for each transaction is stored and managed in the RAM 23 as operation data 23a on the day (step n2 ... n3).

As described above, the auxiliary storage unit that stores the operation data for each operation output and the maintenance data for each maintenance operation that affect the performance of the automatic teller machine, manages the data accurately and the effective diagnosis data. And the invalid diagnosis data can be handled clearly, it is possible to eliminate the false diagnosis that the invalid accumulated data before the maintenance work is mistakenly made a diagnosis target. Since the diagnosis is performed only during the data management in which the effective diagnosis data is stored and managed, it is possible to surely prevent the erroneous diagnosis due to the lack of the data, and obtain the highly reliable diagnosis result that accurately diagnoses the performance of each part of the device.
