This technology is a conventional veneer of a predetermined size, in which narrow-width veneer veneers are assembled one after another in a direction perpendicular to the fibers, and multiple strings or tapes are bonded to the upper surface of the veneers, which are closely aligned. However, it was developed to prevent the problem of the small width veneer expanding in the direction perpendicular to the fibers due to absorbing moisture during the gluing process when stacked on plywood, causing the edges to overlap each other. be.

To explain in detail the technical content of JP-A No. 52-64408, there is a conveyance mechanism that sequentially transports narrow veneer veneers in a direction orthogonal to the fibers, and a mechanism that is made to a predetermined thickness (the gap between the veneers). A plurality of spacers move back and forth in the veneer transport direction as a set, and are configured to be able to move up and down with respect to the veneer transport surface, and a pasting device that affixes the tape to the surface of the plurality of narrow veneers. It is what it is.

This device transports the first veneer, then stops once the edge of the veneer reaches a predetermined position, and the spacer waiting above descends to the rear edge of the veneer, and then the next veneer is transferred. When the veneer is transported and catches up with the trailing edge of the stopped preceding veneer via the spacer, both the front and rear veneers are conveyed together with the spacer sandwiched between them, and the pasting device Tape is successively applied to the outside surface of the board.

In addition, the spacer runs side by side with the front and rear veneers for a while, then reaches a predetermined position and rises to separate from both veneers, and then retreats in the opposite direction to the veneer transport direction, moving above the original waiting point. Immediately after the rear edge of the veneer has passed, the conveyance of the veneer is stopped, and the spacer is again lowered to the edge to wait for the next veneer to arrive.

The drawback of this device is that the veneers are transported intermittently, resulting in inefficiency. In addition, these devices require the operation of complex parts in conjunction with the veneer conveyance, resulting in an extremely complex mechanism. In particular, the veneer spacing is maintained and the veneer is aligned linearly in the fiber direction. The operating mechanism of a set of multiple spacers is difficult to understand.

On the other hand, a flexible endless connecting material that does not expand or contract is guided toward the vicinity of the V-shaped opening position of the piece of wood, and is pulled out along the outer circumference of the insertion roller of the embedding mechanism, for example, to form a thin piece of wood. As a result of being fitted into the groove, the gaps between the pieces are maintained and the assembly is completed even when the pieces move to a flat sloped surface.

Therefore, after that, the flat second half guide member 20 passes through the bent portion C that created the open state.
When reaching points b and 30b, a predetermined gap is provided between the wood strips, and the wood strips take on the shape of an endless array of plates. Thereafter, under the same action, the pieces of wood are continuously carried out in the direction of arrow B, and are eventually finished into flooring materials of a predetermined size.

Although this device has been explained on the premise that thin grooves are processed in advance on small pieces of wood, it is also possible to use thin, tough endless connecting materials for soft wood, etc., and to replace the spring of the embedding mechanism with a fluid cylinder, etc. Therefore, when the insertion pressure is increased and used, there are cases where it is not necessary to pre-process the narrow grooves in the wood strips.

Furthermore, this device can be easily equipped with a device that simultaneously creates narrow grooves on both the left and right sides of the piece by placing groove cutting cutters on the left and right ends in front of the bending part C. At the ends of the guide members, it is also possible to arrange cutters for performing joint processing such as eye-marking or zapping on the side end surfaces of the assembled plate materials, and in this case, the product can be produced in one process.
