Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the collision of simultaneousy incoming call signals between two zones even when the two zones are overlapped by receiving the signals at a radio receiver while alternately scanning two control signals on standby, and varying the transmission frequencies of the control channels in two zones. CONSTITUTION:A main equipment (ME) 100 turns a connector (CE) 210 in a zone 27 and a connector CE 240 in a zone Z2 to the standby state so as to originate/terminate a call, and the other CE is set on standby for a waiting state. Therefore, even when the plural CE simultaneously use the same channel in the same zone, the collision of radio waves can be prevented. When the incoming call signal comes from a connecting line 161 to the CE 210, the incoming call signal passes through a hybrid 211 and is detected by a control part 213. When the incoming call signal is detected, the control part 213 transmits the incoming call signal from a transmitter/receiver 212 to cordless telephone sets 310-360. When the incoming call signal comes from a connecting line 164, the CE 240 also similarly transmits the incoming call signal.

It is possible to receive data from either zone Z2. In the case of FIG. 1, the R station 310° and the R station 320 receive an incoming call signal from the CE 210 in zone Z1, and the R station 350.
R station 360 receives an incoming call signal from CE 240 in zone Z2. The R station 330 and the R station 340 located between the zone Z1 and the zone Z2 can receive the incoming call signal of either CE, but the cordless telephones 330 and 340 first receive the incoming call signal as explained in FIG. As explained above, according to the present invention, the wireless telephone alternately scans and receives two control channels during standby, and by making the transmission frequencies of the control channels different in the two zones, the two zones overlap. Even in such a case, collision of simultaneous incoming call signals between two zones can be prevented.
