対の偏光板のいずれか一方との間に、前記表示用
液晶セルの液晶分子ツイスト方向とは逆方向に液
晶をツイスト配列させたＳＴＮ型の補償用液晶セ
ルを設け、かつ前記表示用液晶セルと補償用液晶
セルとは互いに離間させて配置するとともに、前
記拡大レンズを、前記表示用液晶セルにピント合
わせして設け、さらに前記表示用液晶セルと補償
用液晶セルおよび一対の偏光板をそれぞれ、前記
拡大レンズの光軸に対し、前記表示用液晶セルの
液晶分子ツイスト角とそのいずれか一方の基板面
における液晶分子配向方向と前記一対の偏光板の
偏光軸方向とによつて決まる適性視野角だけ傾け
