Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high contrast by disposing a liquid crystal panel with inclination by as much as the angle corresponding to a preferential visual angle with respect to the optical central axis of an optical path and disposing a condenser lens so as to intersect approximately orthogonally with the central axis. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal panel 9 is disposed in the optical path from a light source 3 to a projecting lens 23 with the inclination by as much as the angle theta corresponding to the preferential visual angle and the condenser lens 7 is disposed to intersect approximately orthogonally with the central axis.
