Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain the reduction of cost for a dust cover device of a transmission mechanism by unifying a dust cover without deteriorating its sealing performance. CONSTITUTION:The lower end of a shift lever 1 is connected to a control rod 2 connected to a striking rod of a transmission (not shown here). A dust cover device 3 consists roughly of a housing 5 which supports the lever 1 through a floor panel 4 and is attached to said panel 4 and a socket member 6 which has an oscillating fulcrum 1a of the lever 1 and is mounted softly to the housing 5. A dust cover 16 is provided with a base part 16a attached between a flange 6a of a socket member 6 and a support rod blacket 9, the 1st bellows part 16b which is extended to the inner circumferential side of the part 16a and circumscribed to the lower side of the fulcrum 1a and the 2nd bellows part 16c which is extended to the outer circumferential side of the part 16a and covers the outside surface of the housing 5.

ロアパネルのシフトレバー貫通部周り、およびシ
フトレバーの揺動支点周りをシールするゴムベロ
ーズからなるダストカバーとによつて行つてい
る。このダストカバーは、具体的にはソケツト部
材下縁とシフトレバーの揺動支点下側とに跨つて
配設されたロアカバーと、ハウジング上縁とシフ
トレバーの揺動支点上側とに跨つて配設されたア
ツパカバーとからなつている。この類似構造は、

シヨン本体とソケツト部材6との間に跨つて配設
したサポートロツドを示し、図外のエンジンの駆
動に伴つてシフトレバー1下端がコントロールロ
ツド2を介して前後方向に振動する場合、揺動支
点1a部分でも同期して前後方向に振動させて、
シフトレバー1のシフト方向の誤作動を防止す
る。このサポートロツド8の誤端部にはサポート
ロツドプラケツト9を固設してあり、このサポー
トロツドブラケツト9上に前記ソケツト部材6を
その下縁フランジ6aを介してボルト・ナツト1
0固定してある。11はソケツト部材6をハウジ
ング5に基本的にソフトマウントするマウントラ
バーを示し、ハウジング5の両側ブラケツト7に
跨つてボルト・ナツト12固定してある、マウン
トラバー11の中央部には下側に突出するカラー
13を固定してあり、このカラー13にボルト1
4を挿通し、サポートロツドブラケツト9裏面に
配置したウエルドナツト15に螺合することによ
つてソケツト部材6をハウジング5に支持してあ
る。16は前記マウントラバー11と協働してソ
ケツト部材6をハウジング5にソフトマウントす
ると共に、シフトレバー1のフロアパネル貫通部
周り、具体的にはハウジング5のフロアパネル貫
通部周りと、シフトレバー1の揺動支点1a部分
周りとをシールするゴム材からなるダストカバー
を示す。このダストカバー16は、前記ソケツト
部材6のフラジル6aと、サポートロツドブラケ
ツト9との間に挾着されるベース部16aと、こ
のベース部16aの内周側に延設されて、シフト
