Conventional technology Traditionally, asphalt-based protective coatings such as waterproofing, moisture-proofing, and rust-proofing are applied by heating and melting when used.Hot-melt molding is a solvent-based coating in which the asphalt is dissolved in an organic solvent and the solvent is evaporated after application. have been widely used, but they require the use of fire or the volatilization of large amounts of organic solvents during use, and from the viewpoint of safety in the working environment, aqueous emulsion types have gradually come into practical use. On the other hand, in order to improve the temperature sensitivity of asphalt, the addition of rubber has been devised and has come to be widely used. Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in the case of aqueous emulsion, when applying it to an object to form a film, it is necessary to remove water by evaporation, and it is difficult to use it at low temperatures, in a sealed state or in a laminated state. If used or applied thickly, the formation of a dry film will be significantly delayed, making it impractical in some cases. In addition, in the case of thick coating, uneven drying speeds within the layers cause non-uniformity of the film such as cracks. In order to prevent this, film formation is promoted by adding an emulsion breaking agent such as sodium fluoride or metal salts. However, in this method, it is still necessary to evaporate and remove the water generated by the emulsion breakage, and the water and water-soluble components generated by the emulsion breakage are pushed out to the film surface and the base interface, significantly impairing the water-resistant adhesive strength. The present invention is intended to solve the above-mentioned problems, and its purpose is to not only rely on evaporation and removal of water when forming a coating film, but also to
Mainly, it has film-forming properties due to internal retention as crystallization water of hydraulic cement, maintains stable strength and elongation in a wide temperature range and curing conditions, and improves adhesion to the base.
Furthermore, a modified water-based rubber that can form a protective film with adhesion and shielding properties that does not cause problems such as blistering and cracking during the film formation process.
An object of the present invention is to provide an asphalt emulsion composition. Means to solve the problems In order to solve these problems, we conducted intensive research and found that by adding hydraulic cement, water evaporation and
It was possible to form a rubber-asphalt emulsion film without removing it, and it became possible to form a rubber-asphalt film in a sealed state and to form a thick coating. However, when this method was used, the presence of hydraulic cement reduced the flexibility of the formed film at low temperatures, which is a characteristic of rubber-asphalt, and it was found that the strength development was poor, especially during wet curing. . Furthermore, this system had unsatisfactory adhesion to a wet substrate. As a result of continuing research to improve the problems of these hydraulic clinker-added rubber-asphalt emulsions, we found that rubber-asphalt emulsions have a softening point.
The above-mentioned problems were solved by adding an adhesive resin with a temperature of 150°C or less and a small amount of an organic solvent. The composition characterized by the present invention is a rubber-asphalt emulsion containing 1 to 30 parts by weight of petroleum resin per 100 parts by dry weight of rubber and asphalt, and when used, further contains aluminum oxide and trioxide. It contains 20 to 150 parts by weight of hydraulic clinker powder (hereinafter simply referred to as hydraulic clinker powder) each containing 10% by weight or more of sulfur. The present invention will be described in more detail below. The aqueous rubber-asphalt emulsion that forms the base of the present invention may be anionic, cationic, or nonionic, but by adding and mixing hydraulic clinker powder, the emulsion must have sufficient stability for coating. It is necessary to have it. Rubbers in asphalt include natural rubber, styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber, butyl rubber, polybutadiene rubber, chloroprene rubber, acrylic rubber, and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, but styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber or Carboxyl-modified styrene
Rubber is mainly composed of butadiene copolymer.
It has excellent performance and economy as an asphalt solid layer. The asphalt in the rubber-asphalt includes natural asphalt, straight asphalt, blown asphalt, and the like, any of which can be used. The rubber content in the rubber-asphalt is not particularly limited, but from the viewpoint of performance, it is preferably 5 to 50% by weight based on the total solid content of the rubber-asphalt. Petroleum resins as modifying compounding agents are C 5 series and
It is a C b type material, has good compatibility with rubber-asphalt, improves the adhesion of rubber-asphalt, and does not significantly reduce its film performance. The softening point of the petroleum resin (according to the ring and ball method JIS K5231) is 150°C or less, and those of 70 to 120°C are particularly preferred. When the softening point exceeds 150°C, the compatibility with rubber and asphalt is poor, and it is difficult to maintain the performance of the rubber-asphalt film over a wide temperature range. The amount of petroleum resin used is the total of rubber and asphalt.
The amount is 1 to 30 parts by weight, more preferably 5 to 15 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight. The optimal amount of petroleum resin varies depending on the composition of the rubber-asphalt, the type of petroleum resin, etc., but if it is less than 1 part by weight, there is no effect of adding petroleum resin, and if it exceeds 3.0 parts by weight, the rubber -
This will impair the flexibility of the asphalt film, make it too sticky and lose the original properties of rubber-asphalt. The hydraulic clinker powder used in the present invention is preferably a clinker that produces more ettringite products at the end of the hydraulic reaction. Can be used as cement, jet cement, blast furnace cement, silica cement, fly ash cement, etc. The hydraulic clinker powder is mixed with the water-based rubber-asphalt emulsion, and when the rubber-asphalt emulsion is cured, it must be uniformly dispersed in the water-based rubber-asphalt emulsion, and during the application process of the mixed composition. It is required to maintain sufficient fluidity and to allow the mixed composition to coagulate and form a film as soon as possible after coating. In the present invention, in order to achieve these required performances, the hydraulic clinker powder contains at least 10% by weight each of aluminum oxide and sulfur trioxide as chemical components that produce more ettringite products at the end of the hydraulic reaction. It is necessary to. The hydraulic clinker powder contains aluminum oxide and sulfur trioxide in specific amounts or more, so that the resulting composition has strong rapid hydraulic properties and is adjusted so that it does not coagulate immediately after being dispersed in water. I can do it. The amount of hydraulic clinker powder added is 20 to 150 parts by weight per 100 parts by dry weight of the rubber and asphalt. If the proportion of the hydraulic clinker is more than the above range, there is a risk of cracks in the formed film, a reduction in elongation, and other performance deterioration. On the other hand, if the proportion of hydraulic cement is too small than the above range, the rubber-asphalt emulsion composition will set slowly and free water will be difficult to capture. There are various methods for producing the aqueous rubber-asphalt emulsion composition of the present invention, which may include:
The performance of the composition is not significantly affected. The manufacturing method is as follows: (1) Molten asphalt is made into an aqueous emulsion using an emulsifier, and rubber latex, emulsion, and petroleum resin emulsion (hereinafter referred to as resin emulsion) are added and mixed to form a modified rubber-asphalt emulsion. Prepare and mix hydraulic clinker powder before use. (2) Melting rubber and resin on asphalt,
The mixture is homogenized by mixing and then converted into an aqueous emulsion using an emulsifier to form a modified rubber asphalt emulsion, which is then mixed with hydraulic clinker powder before use. (3) Convert molten asphalt into an aqueous emulsion with rubber latex or emulsion and an emulsifier, then add and mix a resin emulsion to create a modified rubber-asphalt emulsion, and mix with hydraulic clinker powder before use. There are methods. In these productions, resin emulsion,
The use of organic solvents is useful in melting rubbers and resins into asphalt, and serves to impart tackiness to the rubber-asphalt and to increase flexibility of the coating. However, to prevent excessive use of the solvent, the amount used should be kept to a minimum for safety and performance reasons, and preferably 30 parts by weight or less per 100 parts by weight of rubber and asphalt in total. In this composition, surfactants have become an important element. The emulsion stability of the rubber-asphalt emulsion and the adhesive petroleum resin are sufficiently maintained, and the hydraulic clinker powder is stably mixed, and the coating or spraying work is stable enough to be easily performed. It is necessary to give gender. However, in order to maintain the adhesive strength, water resistance, etc. of the formed film, it is desirable that the amount be as small as possible. As surfactants, fatty acid salts, higher alcohol sulfates, alkylbenzene sulfonates, alkylnaphthalene sulfonates, dialkyl sulfosicinates, alkyl phosphate salts,
Ionic surfactants such as polyoxyethylene sulfate salts, alkylamine salts, quaternary ammonium salts, polyoxyethylene alkylamines,
These include nonionic surfactants such as polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, polyoxyethylene alkyl phenol ether, sorbitan fatty acid ester, polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester, polyoxyethylene amine ester, and oxyethylene oxypropylene block polymer. can be used alone or in combination. Although the amount of surfactant used cannot be specified, it is necessary to limit it to the minimum amount necessary.
The type, amount, and timing of use of the surfactant vary depending on the production method described above, but when adding the hydraulic clinker powder, it is preferable to use a nonionic surfactant. Various surfactants, anti-aging agents, plasticizers, fillers, thickeners, and the like can be added to the composition of the present invention, if necessary. In particular, a thickener is an additive necessary to obtain the viscosity and viscosity necessary for coating. Regardless of whether the composition of the present invention is an aqueous emulsion, it can form a film without evaporating or removing water, has excellent adhesion to wet substrates, and is suitable for various materials. Good adhesion. Furthermore, the formed film has high elongation over a wide temperature range, is highly flexible, and has extremely low air permeability, water permeability, and moisture permeability. It can be applied to the target substrate with a brush or trowel, or it can be sprayed with an air gun or airless gun by applying appropriate pump pressure. If heat drying is used, film formation can be further promoted. This composition can be applied alone or in a layered manner with a sheet material such as roofing to a base fabric to waterproof roofs, interior and exterior walls, silos, water tanks, heat storage tanks, etc., moisture proof layers, and rustproof various metal structures. Moisture-proof protective layer for insulation layers such as protective layers, refrigerator-freezers, tanks, and pipes, waterproof adhesives for flooring materials, waterproof sheets, roofing materials, wall covering materials, and insulation materials, and for caulking and sealing of various structures. can be used.
