(Prior Art) Surface fasteners are widely used as engaging members for joining fiber fabrics and other various articles. One example is one in which an engaging member is integrally joined to a seat cushion made of foamed synthetic resin for the purpose of covering and fixing a skin material to the seat cushion. As a method for joining the engaging member to the surface of the molded body such as the seat cushion, the
There are methods in which the engaging member is attached to the surface of the molded body using an adhesive as in Japanese Patent No. 20257, and needles are implanted in the surface of the mold and the engaging member is pierced into the needle as in Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 57-129472. There is a method of fixing the engaging member to the mold surface by fixing it in the groove of the mold, or by fitting a fixing member having a substantially T-shaped cross section into the groove. In addition, JP-A-1986-
No. 179003 and above disclose a method in which a thin metal sheet is held within the engaging member, a magnet is provided at the bottom of the groove of the mold, and the engaging member is fixed in the groove by magnetic attraction. In the above-mentioned two known techniques, there are problems in that sticking with an adhesive is inferior in durability, and the method of piercing with a mold needle is cumbersome, and it is difficult to adjust the position of the engaging member. In contrast, the method of fixing the engaging member using magnetic attractive force is superior because it does not have the above problems, but
There is a problem in that the use of magnets and metal sheets increases manufacturing costs.

(Means for Solving the Problems) That is, the present invention provides a protruding body that has a groove or a recess in which an engaging member is to be accommodated, and that locks one or more engaging members to the edge of the groove or recess. Using a mold with a mold, the engaging member is accommodated in the groove or recess of the mold with the surface with the engaging element in contact with the mold surface, and then a molding raw material is introduced into the mold to mold a molded object. This is a method for manufacturing a molded body with a featured engagement member.

Various types of hook-and-loop fasteners known as hook-and-loop fasteners can be used as the engaging member used in the present invention, and hook-like hook-like fasteners made of synthetic fiber filaments such as nylon and polyester are woven into a hook shape, and instead of hook-like engagement elements. A mushroom-shaped surface fastener in which a mushroom-shaped engagement element is woven, and the hook-shaped engagement element or the mushroom-shaped engagement element is integrally molded from a synthetic resin instead of being woven in a woven structure. Furthermore, a woven or non-woven fabric made of a large number of fiber loops that engage with the hook-shaped or mushroom-shaped engagement element can also be used as a hook-and-loop fastener. These hook-shaped bodies, mushroom-shaped bodies, fiber loop bodies, etc. are all used as engaging elements.

Although these surface fasteners are essential elements of the engaging member in the present invention, various members can be added in addition to the surface fasteners depending on the purpose. For example, on the back surface of the hook-and-loop fastener, that is, the surface that does not have an engaging element, a fiber base fabric (coarse woven fabric, non-woven fabric, etc.) with gaps that can be impregnated with a synthetic resin to strengthen the bonding with the molded object, or a locking material. Base fabrics or molded bodies having protrusions for this purpose can be laminated. These base fabrics and the like are effective when used in combination with a hook-and-loop fastener obtained by a molding method.

Furthermore, when the engaging member is installed in the mold and the molded body raw material is supplied, the raw material may fill the engaging element of the hook-and-loop fastener and impair the engaging function. To prevent this, the engaging element is covered. It is also possible to overlap a thin film like this on top of the hook-and-loop fastener and join the peripheral edge to the hook-and-loop fastener.

As a method for installing such an engaging member in a mold,
In the present invention, the engaging member is housed in a groove or a recess provided in the mold. The groove or recess can be formed by carving the surface of the mold, or by forming a bank-like frame on the surface. In either configuration, the depth of the groove or recess is not large, so simply housing the engaging member in the groove or recess will not stabilize the position, and it will shift or come off during molding, so ensure the position is fixed. must be made into something. To this end, the present invention provides one or more protrusions on the edge of the groove or recess to lock the engagement member and prevent it from escaping from the groove or recess. It was unexpected that the goal could be achieved with such a simple configuration, and it could be replaced with more complex methods such as using the attraction force of a magnet or providing a needle in the mold as in the conventional technology. The practical advantages are enormous. An example will be explained with reference to the drawings.

and has two protrusions 4, 5, 4'5' on opposite edges 3, 3', respectively. The shape of this protrusion can be made into any number of shapes as required. After molding, when the molded product integrated with the engaging member is taken out of the mold, it is desirable that the engaging member can be smoothly removed from the groove, and for this purpose, the protruding body should be not too large and have a shape with many curved surfaces. Something is desirable. The number of protrusions can be any number greater than or equal to one.

The engaging member must be placed in the mold with the surface with the engaging element in contact with the mold surface. This is because the engagement member is integrally joined to the molded body on its back surface, and cannot perform its engagement function unless the engagement element is exposed on the surface. After housing the engaging member in the mold,
The raw material for the molded body is introduced into the mold. The molded products are of various types such as polyurethane, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride, polyolefin, synthetic rubber, etc.
It can be introduced into the mold in the form of granules, powder, etc. A molded body is manufactured by foaming, curing, or solidification reaction in a mold, and at this time, the engagement member is integrally joined to the molded body. Next, when the molded body is removed from the mold,
A product in which the engaging member is integrally embedded and joined to the molded body is obtained.
