Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a connecting cable from disturbing an operation without receiving the effects of noise at a scanner operation by incorporating an autoscanner for bar code reading in a main body provided with a main control part and a key for data input. CONSTITUTION:An automatic scanning driving part 4 is put on a bar code, an optical 1, a light emitting element 2 and a light receiving element 3 are scanned right and left by the automatic scanning driving part 4, the bar code irradiated with light from the light emitting element 2 is reflected as a light signal and the reflected light signal is converged at an optical system 1 and is light-received by the light receiving element 3. The light receiving element 3 converts an optical signal into a slight electric signal, the electric signal is amplified in an amplifying circuit 5 and and analyzed in a decoding circuit 6 and decoded data are transferred to a main control part 7 and processed. Thus, operability is improved and influence by noise is reduced.

The automatic scanning drive section 4 of this embodiment is placed on the barcode, and the automatic scanning drive section 4 drives the optical system 11, the light emitting element 2. The light receiving element 3 is scanned left and right. When scanning, light is emitted from the light emitting element 2 and the barcode is reflected as an optical signal. The reflected optical signal is converged by the optical system 1 and received by the light receiving element 3. The light receiving element 3 converts the optical signal into a weak electrical signal. The weak electrical signal is amplified by the amplifier circuit 5. The amplified electrical signal is analyzed by the decoding circuit 6, and the analyzed data is transferred to the main control unit 7 and processed.
