筒状であり、使用者の好みにより長くしたり、短
かくして使用することができず、また外観が一様

られ、伸縮層は上記パイル層を織成等するときに
適宜の弾性糸を織込んで作ればよい。また上記伸
縮層の裏面にさらにパイル層を形成することもあ
る。上記生地は図に示す一実施例では、手首等に
着用できるよう約数cmの直径の短筒状に作られ、
本体は上記パイル層が表面に表われるよう上記生
地の両端縁を筒状の軸方向に沿つて巻き込み、断
面がほぼＣ字状を為す環状体になつている。図に
示すものでは、該生地は展開した状態で約15mmの
幅の短筒状であつて、その程度の幅のものでは上
記伸縮層の作用により引張りながら回転させれば
軸方向に沿つて自然にほぼ断面Ｃ字状に巻き込ま
れる。このような生地は、パイル靴下製造装置の
ような装置で筒状に生地を織成等して作ることが
できる。また巻き込み部は図に示すように開口さ
せたままでも表面のパイルによつて殆んど隠され
てしまう。上記生地は、赤、白、黄、青、緑その
他種々の着色のものを用意したり、種々のパイル
