Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the increase of the floating static capacitance of a flexible printed board, to reduce the increase of impedance noise and to reduce the deterioration of a frequency band by providing a spacer between a reinforcing plate and head arms. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic heads 1 are fixed at the tip of the head arms 6 and read/write IC 8 controlling the data write/read operation of the magnetic heads 1 is mounted at the rear part of the flexible printed board 5. The flexible printed board 5 and the magnetic heads are connected by fine lines 2. The first and second reinforcing plates made of resin are provided at lower surfaces near the read/write IC mounting part and a fine line connection part in the flexible printed board 5. The spacer 4 is provided between the second reinforcing plate 3 and the head arms 6. Thus, the increase of the floating static capacitance of the flexible printed board 5 is prevented, the increase of impedance noise is reduced and the deterioration of the frequency band can be reduced.
