Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent excess deterioration in a slide torque or wow and flutter from being incurred at tape running by providing a projection group in contact with a part of a pad protruded from both side edges of a magnetic tape so as to reduce a press contact force of the pad to a magnetic head slide face. CONSTITUTION:A position 6 shown by broken lines of a magnetic tape 5 is in press contact with a pad onto a magnetic tape slide face 3 in the middle of the magnetic tape slide face 3 of a magnetic head 1 and recording or reproduction is implemented by bringing the tape in slide contact in the direction as shown by the arrow (a). 々1aケ作成した。これら磁気へ・ンドについて磁気ヘ
ッド摺動面と紫外線硬化樹脂との密着性を確認するため
に、−40℃30分と80℃30分のくり返しによる熱
サイクル試験を200サイクル行ない、磁気ヘッド摺動
面からの紫外線硬化樹脂の接着状態を比較したところ、
本実施例では突起群の剥れが発見されなかったのに対し
、従来例では、一部側れを生じたものが6コ、完全側れ
により欠落したものが2コが発見された。
