Abstract

PURPOSE:To uniformly spread lubricating oil and to achieve stability of injection condition by forming an inclined spiral groove to outer diameter of an injection tip. CONSTITUTION:Casting with die casting is executed with mechanism constituted with a sleeve 4 as molten metal supplying hole for pressing the molten metal into a die 5, the injection tip 3 for pressing the molten metal in the die 5, an injection cylinder 1 for working the injection tip 3, a runner gate 6 to injection of the molten metal at high velocity and a pressure increasing cylinder for executing increased pressure injection. The molten metal in the sleeve 4 is injected to high accurate quality with a tip injection device having the inclined spiral groove 9 under extremely reducing condition of friction with the sleeve 4 and uniformized injection condition. By this method, as the casting in the die casting can be executed under stable injection condition, the stable quality is obtd. Further, the lubricating oil is uniformly spread and extension of the service life to the tip is obtd.

Conventionally, injection tips have been used with the thermally sprayed outer diameter polished, but Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 56-99062 discloses a method in which a combustible material such as paper is attached to the inner surface of an injection sleeve to act as a solid lubricant. A method is disclosed.

In die casting, instability of injection conditions causes variations in quality and reduces stability. This is because even if the settings for low speed and high speed on the die casting machine are correct, the injection speed will differ due to friction between the sleeve and the injection tip, and the expected conditions will not be obtained. Furthermore, the process using paper or the like is complicated.

The stabilization of injection conditions is achieved by uniformly spreading the lubricating oil through the molten metal in the sleeve into the inclined spiral groove, which reduces the friction between the sleeve and the injection tip. This prevents the injection conditions from malfunctioning.

Die casting involves a sleeve 4 that serves as a feed port for press-fitting the molten metal into the mold 5, an injection tip 3 that presses the molten metal into the mold 5, an injection cylinder 1 that operates the injection tip 3, and a cylinder 1 that operates the injection tip 3 until the molten metal is injected at high speed. This is carried out by a mechanism consisting of a runner gate 6 and a pressure increase cylinder that performs pressure increase injection.

The helical groove 9 may be one continuous groove or a plurality of closed grooves. The grooves may intersect with each other, and are provided so as not to penetrate the tip and end of the tip for extruding the molten metal. Prevent lubricant from leaking to the tips and ends.

The width and depth of the groove may be such that the lubricating oil can properly penetrate and be retained, and the groove is formed with a depth and width larger than the surface roughness of the finished surface of the chip.

According to the present invention, since die casting can be performed under stable injection conditions, stable quality can be obtained. Furthermore, by determining the depth of the inclined spiral groove, the degree of wear of the injection tip can be determined, and at the same time, the lubricating oil is evenly distributed, which has the effect of extending the life of the tip.
