内超音波プローブとして第1図に示すものがあ
る。すなわち、第1図に示す従来の前立腺用超音
波プローブ10は、先端を丸くしてなる円筒状の
挿入部1と、この挿入部1の先端近傍に円周方向
に沿うように配設された超音波トランスジユーサ
2と、挿入部1の基端に連成された挿入部1より
も径の大きい握り部3(把持部)とから成る。ま
た、前記超音波トランスジユーサ2は、第2図に
示すように、上から順次に音響レンズ4、整合層
5及び超音波振動子6更にはバツキング材(図面
には表われていない)が重合固着されて前記挿入
部1の円筒内に装備配置されており、超音波トラ
ンスジユーサ2の振動子6は、導電層7がプリン
トされているフレキシブルPC板8により電極が
引き出され、ケーブル9(第1図参照)を介して
電源に接続されるように構成されている。

刺用超音波プローブの開発が要請されており、こ
の要請は前立腺用の超音波プローブにおいても例
外ではない。

スジユーサと、前記挿入部の前記把持部近傍位置
から把持部側の前記超音波トランスジユーサ近傍
位置にかけて前記挿入部の軸線方向に交差する方
向へ前記挿入部を貫通した穿刺用のガイド孔とを
具備したことを特徴とする体腔内超音波プローブ
である。

すると、前立腺の診断検査のために肛門から挿入

を通つて出口部21b外へ穿刺針を挿通すること
によつて、患部たる穿刺対象物と穿刺針の動きと
を同時にデイスプレイ上の画像で観察しながら、
安全な穿刺を行うことができる。すなわち、患部
に穿刺針を刺して膿を出したり、その出した膿を
吸い込んだり、或いは、患部を切除したり、更に
は患部に抗生物質を注入したり等の穿刺を行い得
る。また、穿刺針を挿通するガイド孔21は入り
口部21aから出口部21bにかけてロート状を
なし且つ入口部21aを広くすると共に出口部2
1bが狭くなるように形成されているため、穿刺
針の挿入が容易で然も穿刺針のがたつきのない、
より安全な穿刺を行うことができる。
