Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve attaching strength of an ear by a method wherein a lateral cross section of a bottle body upward and downward of an ear attaching part of a recessed part for attaching the ear is shaped in corner parts protruding outward so that upper snd lower surfaces of the recessed parts around the ear attaching part are orientated. CONSTITUTION:A plastic bottle body 1 is shaped as whole substantially in a hectangular column, and an ear attaching recessed part 2 is formed by cutting off one ridge of the hectangular column. By this, an upward and a down ward of the ear attaching part of the recessed part 2 form respectively a corner, that is, a corner part 11 protruding outward. As these corner parts 11 are more distant from a preform 4 than their adjacent surfaces, the orientation degree of an upper surface 21 and a lower surface 22 is increased corresponding thereto and reinforced, so that attaching strength of the ear 3 is improved.

Description

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Field of Industrial Application) The present invention relates to a plastic bottle with a handle, which is formed by attaching a separate handle to a plastic bottle body.

(Prior Art) Conventionally, in plastic bottles made of resin such as polyethylene terephthalate, in which it is difficult to integrally mold the body and the handle at the same time, as shown in side view 4 in FIG. 7, the side surface of the plastic bottle body 1 is It has been proposed that a recess 2 for attaching a handle is formed in the recess, and upper and lower ends of a separate handle 3 are attached to the upper and lower surfaces of this recess.

(Problem to be solved by the invention) In the above-mentioned conventional plastic bottle with a handle, if the concave portion is made larger to make it easier to hold, the strength improvement due to stretching orientation will be small because the distance from the preform during molding of the main body is short. Therefore, there was a problem in that the handle attachment portions on the top, bottom, and surface of the recess lacked strength and were likely to come off.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention aims to solve the above problems by devising the cross-sectional shape of the plastic bottle body, and the gist thereof is to form a recess for attaching a handle on the side surface of the plastic bottle body. and a plastic bottle with a handle, in which a separate handle is attached to the recessed part, and the cross-sectional shape of the bottle body above and below the four handle attachment parts forms an outwardly protruding corner. In the example shown in FIG. 4, a fitting arm 31 is formed that extends inward from the upper end of the handle 3, and a locking protrusion 32 is formed at the tip of the fitting arm 31. Since the locking protrusion 32 is located at the back of the recess 2, that is, near the center, the wall of the handle attachment part of the recess is not stretched too much and there is little resistance, so it can securely wrap around the small locking protrusion 32 to every corner. In order to manufacture the plastic bottle with a handle of the present invention, the handle 3 and the preform are fixed in a predetermined position of a blow molding mold, and the bottle wall is wrapped around the locking protrusion 32 of the handle 3 at the same time as the blow molding. Furthermore, if necessary, the fitting arm 31 can be wrapped around the side surface of the fitting arm 31 into the recessed fitting part 33, thereby completing blow molding and attachment of the handle 3 at the same time.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, in the plastic bottle with a handle of the present invention, the cross-sectional shape of the bottle body above and below the handle attachment part of the handle attachment recess forms an outwardly protruding corner. The upper and lower surfaces of the recess around the handle attachment part are stretched and oriented, which improves the attachment strength of the handle.
