制御手段と、 前記検知手段の発光部の発光量を最高レベルか
ら低下させた時の受光部の受光量レベルと、紙葉
類の不透明さと受光量レベルとの関係を示す特性
関数とを設定記憶する特性関数記憶手段と、 前記検知手段の受光部により1枚目の搬送紙葉
類の透過光を受光した時、前記特性関数記憶手段
に記憶された特性関数に基づき基準受光量レベル
を演算する演算手段と、 前記演算手段により演算した基準受光量レベル
を記憶する基準レベル記憶手段と、 前記検知手段の受光部により2枚目以降の搬送
紙葉類の透過光を受光した時、2枚目以降の搬送
紙葉類の受光量レベルと前記基準レベル記憶手段
に記憶された基準受光量レベルとを比較し、該比
較結果に基づき当該搬送紙葉類が2重搬送か、ま
たは当該搬送紙葉類の前の搬送紙葉類が2重搬送
か、または前記何れの搬送紙葉類も正常搬送かを
判定し、該判定結果に基づく制御信号を紙葉類計
数制御機構へ出力する比較判定手段と、 を具備することを特徴とする紙葉類計数機におけ

て計数するように構成した紙葉類計数機において

部とを有する検知手段と、 前記検知手段の発光部と発光部との間に紙葉類
が1枚ずつ追加挿入される度に押下される設定釦
と、 該設定釦押下時の前記検知手段の受光部の受光
量レベルと、紙葉類の不透明さと受光量レベルと
の関係を示す特性関数とを設定記憶する特性関数
記憶手段と、 前記検知手段の受光部により1枚目の搬送紙葉
類の透過光を受光した時、前記特性関数記憶手段
に記憶された特性関数に基づき基準受光量レベル
を演算する演算手段と、 前記演算手段により演算した基準受光量レベル
を記憶する基準レベル記憶手段と、 前記検知手段の受光部により2枚目以降の搬送
紙葉類の透過光を受光した時、2枚目以降の搬送
紙葉類の受光量レベルと前記基準レベル記憶手段
に記憶された基準受光量レベルとを比較し、該比
較結果に基づき当該搬送紙葉類が2重搬送か、ま
