、該密封装置は、前記固定部材に取付けられると
ともに、周縁部がテーパ面に形成されているフラ
ンジ部２およびこのフランジ部２の内側に一体に
設けられる円筒部３を有する補強部材１と、該補
強部材１の内面に一体に設けられるとともに、内
周側に前記回転部材との間をシールする環状のリ
ツプ部７を、外周側に前記固定部材との間をシー
ルするガスケツト面８を有するオイルシール６と
を具え、前記オイルシール６の一部が、前記補強
部材１の前記固定部材側の表面を引き回されたの
ちに周縁部を差し込んだ状態で被覆し、これによ
り、前記ガスケツト面８が形成されていることを
