(特許法第184条の7第1項)
平成3年5月20日 DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a shoulder support for use with violins, violas, etc. This type of shoulder support helps the player hold these instruments more appropriately and comfortably, regardless of the player's body type, such as the length of the player's neck or the shape of his shoulders.
It is something that stands on. One adjustment that can be made in high-quality shoulder supports is to adjust the lateral slope of the lower surface of the shoulder support relative to the plane that corresponds to the bottom of the instrument. i.e. horizontal
Adjustments to the particular position in which the neck of the instrument is held relative to the line must be made while ensuring full contact between the underside of the base of the shoulder support and the player's shoulders.
The articulation is achieved by pivoting the clamping members that engage the sides of the violin for pivoting about a transverse axis that is parallel to the longitudinal direction of the base of the shoulder support. My U.S. Patent No. 3631754 issued January 4, 1972, German Patent Publication No. 2659869AI (WOLF) and Soviet Patent No. 39 58859 (CHE V A CHOU) G, t, described above. This shows an example of the possibility of such a fin adjustment. The problem with this kind of adjustable lateral angle arrangement is that if the base of the shoulder support is accidentally flipped about its lateral axis and the side-engaging forks are attached to the instrument,
Be careful not to allow the base edge of the shoulder support to scratch the bottom of the instrument when
It was said that it would become. The object of the invention is to further improve the technology of a shoulder support of the type described above, which reduces the risk of damage to the musical instrument in use, and which also reduces the lateral inclination of the base of the shoulder support. The purpose is to be able to adjust the Generally speaking, the present invention provides a shoulder support for a violin or similar musical instrument.
The shoulder support has a long base having a lower surface formed to fit a person's shoulders, and engages with the side of the violin, etc., so that the shoulder support can be attached to the violin, etc.
A pair of clamps attached to each end of the base for clamping the hanging support.
A holding member, each holding member having two separate parts corresponding to the sides of the violin, etc.
and intermediate support means disposed between the respective clamping elements for engaging the bottom of a violin or the like, the intermediate support means corresponding to and defining the support surface. a clamping member such as the base, and a clamping member provided for attaching each clamping member to the base, disposed between the corresponding clamping member and the base, and generally flat with respect to the longitudinal direction of the base.
and a pivoting connection part that allows the clamping member to pivot relative to the base about the longitudinal axis of the clamping member.
This makes it possible to adjust the lateral inclination of the lower surface with respect to the supporting surface.
clamping member attachment means for limiting said pivoting to an angle of from about 5 degrees to about 25 degrees;
A shoulder support comprising a pivoting connection and an operatively connected stop means is provided.
It is. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The invention will be described in more detail below on the basis of preferred embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings, which are schematic and not to scale. FIG. 1 is a simplified version of one embodiment of my improved shoulder support embodying features of the present invention.
FIG. FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the shoulder support of FIG. 1. FIG. 3 is a sectional view taken along line 3--3 in FIG. FIG. 4 is a sectional view taken along line 4--4 in FIG. 1. Figure 5 (on the page of Figure 1) shows how to attach the shoulder support to the instrument.
FIG. 2 is a schematic end view of the violin showing how it is attached. FIG. 6 is a perspective view similar to that of FIG. 1, but depicting another embodiment of the invention. FIG. 7 is an end view seen from the direction indicated by line 7-7 in FIG. 6. FIG. 8 is a sectional view taken along line 8--8 in FIG. 6. FIG. 9 is a partial cross-sectional view taken along line 9--9 in FIG. 6, and some portions shown in FIG. 6 are omitted from FIG. 9. FIG. 10 is a partial plan view taken along line 10--10 in FIG. 6, and some parts shown in FIG. 6 are omitted from FIG. 10. FIG. 11 is a cross-sectional view taken along line 11--11 of FIG. 6 (on the page of FIG. 6). 1. The shoulder support shown in FIG. 1 is disclosed in U.S. Pat.
It consists of several parts of a shoulder support device invented by me and described in the claims. That is, the shoulder support has an elongated base (12), and
A foam pad (13) is attached to the underside of the base (12). As shown in FIG.
When attached, the violin (14) is elongated approximately in the lateral direction. The lower side of the base (13) has a very shallow curved shape to match the shape of the shoulders of the musician using the shoulder support. A pair of forks or clamping members (15, 16) are attached to the base (12), one at each end. The forks (15, 16) clamp the sides of the violin (14), thereby
to secure the shoulder support (11) to the violin. As can be seen from the drawings, each fork includes a pair of fingers, which can also be referred to as clamping elements (17, 18, 19, 20). The fingers are usually made of soft rubber so that they can engage the sides of the violin (14) without causing scratches or other damage to the sides of the violin.
Therefore, it is covered. Each fork is further arranged between respective clamping elements (17-18, 19-20).
It has an intermediate support part or intermediate support means (21, 22). Figures 1 and 2
As can be seen from FIG. 5, the intermediate support means (21, 22) are
and coincides in position with the support surface (23) indicated by the line that coincides with the bottom surface (24) of the violin (14). Of course, the bottom surface of a musical instrument called a violin is generally curved in a somewhat convex shape, but for the purpose of explaining the present invention, the bottom surface of a violin can be considered to be flat. As can be seen from the drawings, each fork (15, 16) is integrally formed with a threaded shaft (25, 26) that is screwed into the respective side member (27, 28), which is a pivoting member. It is formed. Therefore, the forks (15, 16) are centered on an axis that is normally vertical.
The fingers (17, 18) can be engaged with the sides of the violin (14) with uniform pressure, while at the same time being able to engage the forks (15, 16). The vertical distance between the base (12), i.e. the support surface (23) and the base.
The distance between the part (12) and the part (12) can be adjusted.
Ru. Each of the side members <27, 28) is pivotable about a longitudinal axis (29, 30). The longitudinal axes (29, 30) are generally parallel to the longitudinal axes of the support surface (23) and the base (12). Each side member (27, 28) has a pivot pin not visible in Figure 1 or Figure 2. This pivot pin is shown in broken lines in FIG. 3 and is labeled (P). The pin (P) is formed integrally with each side member (27, 28) and
It is centrally located in the side member and extends across a narrow and deep circumferential slot (31, 32). Pivot pins (P) are formed in the upright arms (37, 38) of the L-shaped connectors (39, 40) with which they are structurally associated, with respective vertical slots opening at the top thereof.
It fits into the support hole (33°34) that forms the lower end of the nut (35, 36).
It is now possible to do this. The upright arms (37, 38) are also called second arms.
Let's do it. The normally generally horizontal first or horizontal arm (41) of the L-shaped connector (39) has a row of holes (42) corresponding to threaded mounting pins (43) secured to the base (12). has. The width of the horizontal arm (41) is such that the arm can freely change its position between the two reinforcing ribs (44, 45). The first arm (41) is installed using a knob nut (46) that corresponds to the threaded pin (43).
It will be done. Similarly, the L-shaped connector (40) in the opposite position also serves for attachment by means of a threaded mounting pin (49) and a thumb nut (50).
It has a horizontal arm (ie the first arm) with a row of holes (48). Therefore, the L-shaped connectors (39, 40) can be attached to the base (12) with a predetermined distance between the upright arms, and this structure allows the fork to be attached depending on the size of the violin, viola, etc. to which the shoulder support is attached. We can determine the distance between (15, 16). The horizontal arm (41) has a pair of opposing stop side walls or flanges (51, 52), and the other horizontal arm (47) also has a pair of opposing side walls (53, 54). In other words, each horizontal arm (41, 47) is, in most areas, channel-shaped (27, 28) integral with the corresponding side member and facing inwardly. It has surface portions (55, 56). Each surface portion (55, 56) has a respective downwardly facing radially extending small protrusion.
It is generally disc-shaped except for the exit or stop means (57, 58). A horizontal slot (59) is formed at the bottom of the horizontal arm (47). The length, thickness and width of the protrusion (58) are such that the length, thickness and width of the protrusion (58) are such that the side member (28) engages its pivot pin (P) with the support hole (34) as shown in FIG. The length, thickness and width are such that when pushed in, the protrusion (58) is placed within the slot (59). Depending on the width of the protrusion (58), the axis (30) of the side member (28)
The pivot around the center is the ultimate position of the support surface (23), as shown by the dashed line in Figure 3.
It is limited by the angle (60) between the positions. The downwardly directed radially extending protrusion (57) of the opposing side member (28) engages with the side walls (51, 52) of the channel-shaped horizontal arm (41) of the L-shaped connector (39). , is wider than the protrusion (58). The pivotable angle (60) is the same as the pivotable angle in the opposite side member (28). Therefore, both specific configurations of the locking means are generally such that, at their free lower end, one of the opposing stop surfaces, i.e. the end of the slot (59), or the side wall, i.e. the flange (51, 52) ) has a radially extending projection adapted to engage one of the inner surfaces of the It is a feature of the invention that the angle (60) not only has a predetermined maximum value, but is also specifically positioned in relation to the normally horizontal plane (H).
It is. The maximum value of angle (60) is approximately 25 degrees. This angle determines the limits of the lateral inclination shown in FIGS.
This corresponds to the slope of the lower surface of the pad (13) in the lateral direction. In order to be able to reasonably adjust the longitudinal inclination of the instrument, the angle (60) must be at least 5 degrees, in the normally horizontal plane (H) (Figs. 3 and 4). ) indicates that the lateral slope is zero. The horizontal plane (H) is located within the limits of the angle (60). Another embodiment of the invention is shown in FIGS. 6-10. The base (61) is made of a suitable plastic such as a mixture of nylon and fiberglass.
molded from solid material. The base (61) has a lower surface (62) which is a flexible foam lower pad that forms the pad of the shoulder support that contacts the musician's shoulders. The base (61) is integrally molded with a hollow column (63) that is the first column. At the opposite end of the base (61), there is another hollow column, i.e. a second column (64).
It is attached freely. The hollow column (64) constitutes the normally upright portion of the L-shaped member. The normally horizontal first arm (65) of the L-shaped member is slidably received in a shallow groove (66) of dovetail or trapezoidal cross section having a bottom (67).
Ru. The bottom (67) is then flat except for a series of short laterally extending ribs (67a), one of which is visible in FIG. A mounting thumbscrew (68) is provided for the purpose of locking the L-shaped member at an appropriate distance between the clamping forks shown in FIG. That is, for this purpose the lower free end of the mounting thumbscrew passes through the horizontal arm (65) and engages in a groove between two of the ribs (67a). The side walls of the bottom (66) taper upward away from the bottom, as best shown in Figure 11.
It's becoming a sea urchin. The structures of the two hollow columns (63, 64) are generally the same, and the first column (63) will be described in detail as shown in FIGS. 7, 8, and 10. I will do that. The first pillar (63) has an outer end wall (69), an inner end wall (70) facing the outer end wall (69), and a pair of side walls (71, 72). These four walls have an open sky above.
Define the sinus. A first lateral surface (73) of the end wall (69) of this cavity is shown in FIG. 10 together with a second lateral surface (74) of the end wall (70) opposite the first lateral surface (73). There is. The remaining two opposing surfaces defining said cavity are the same as those seen in FIG.
The cavities, which are the first and second vertical surfaces (75, 76) of the respective side walls (72, 71), are open at the top. The cavity communicates at its bottom with a recess (77), into which the lower pad (62) is attached by adhesive. Figure 10 shows that the lateral surfaces (73, 74) of the outer and inner walls (69, 70) face each other. These lateral surfaces (73, 74) are generally flat and parallel to each other. The outer wall (69) is provided with an upwardly opening vertical slot (78) having a slightly enlarged rounded bottom end (79). Similarly, the inner end wall (70) has an upwardly opening slot (80) with a rounded bottom end (81) which is in turn with a rounded end (79). ) and have the same diameter
Ru. A block (82), which is a pivoting member, is placed inside the cavity of the first pillar (63), and the shape of this block (82) is shown in Figs. 8 and 10. . The block (82) has a generally rectangular parallelepiped shape. A first end wall (83) of the block (82) is in frictional engagement with a first lateral surface (73). An opposing second end wall (84) of the block (82) is in frictional engagement with a second lateral surface (74). The degree of heavy ring resistance depends on the relative size of the block to the cavity.
and should be selected to provide some resistance to free pivoting of the block within the cavity, but not to completely prevent such pivoting. As shown in FIG. 8, the first side wall or surface portion (85) of the block (82) is adapted to abut the first longitudinal surface (75). The opposite second side wall or surface portion (86) of the block (82) allows the block (82) to fit within the rounded bottom ends (79, 81) of the respective slots (78, 80). Pivotably housed
When the pivot pins (87, 88) pivot about the longitudinal axes, they can come into contact with the second longitudinal surface (76). The size of the pivot pins (87, 88) relative to the size of the slots (78, 80) allows the pins to be rounded along their corresponding slots when the block (82) is installed in the cavity of the post (63). The size is selected so that it can be forced to pass between the curved ends (79, 81). Typically, the width of the slot at the open top is approximately 1.45 mm. The slot then narrows to approximately 1.37 mm at the transition point between the seven rounded ends. The diameters of the rounded ends (7) and pins (87, 88, 89, 99) are both approximately 1.40 mm. The block (82) is placed in the cavity with the pins (87, 88) in opposite positions.
You can also A bearing cab (89) is provided at the top of the block (82).
The lower surface of the bearing cab (89) is concavely curved to match the convexly rounded upper surface (90) of the first column (63). The song on the top page (90)
The curvature of the line is approximately centered on the axis of the rounded end (79, 81) and thus on the axis of the pivot pin (87, 88). As best shown in Figure 10,
The cap (89) is adapted to cover the upper opening of the cavity in the column (63), whatever the position of the block (82) relative to the column (63). The cap (89) receives substantially all of the loads transferred to the base when using the shoulder support, as explained below. flll! ! On the other hand, the pins (87, 88) serve only to guide the pivoting movement and prevent the block from coming out of the cavity. Parallel threaded holes (91, 92) are arranged in the block (82).
Ru. These threaded holes correspond to the threaded grooves of the threaded shaft portion <92a) of the holding fork (93) which is the holding member. The structure of this clamping fork (93) is the same as that of the fork (15 or 16), so there is no need to explain it again here.
One factor that determines the distance between the two ends of the shoulder support is which threaded hole (91, 92) is selected to screw the shaft into the opposite end of the shoulder support. The structure of the column (64) in the section is similar to that of the column (63) described above.
The structure is essentially the same, the only difference being that the column (64) has only one threaded hole (94) and therefore the length of the block is shorter. In other respects, like block (82), block (95) also includes first and second end walls (96, 97), two side walls (not shown), a pair of pivot pins (98, 99), a bearing cab (100), and a threaded shaft (101) of a clamping fork (102).According to the second embodiment, the block has a pivot pin (87) which is a pivot connection. , 88, 9 8, 99) along the corresponding slots marked (78° 80), and
until the pins are pivotably mounted on each rounded end at the bottom of each slot.
Since it is installed while being pushed in, it is easy to install it into the required hollow part of the hollow column.
It is possible. Each bearing cab (89°100) is in contact with the convexly rounded upper part of its respective column, so that when in use the shoulder support is held by the performer's jaws, the threaded Any pressure generated along the shank of the pickled shank (80, 101) is absorbed by the bearing cab (89, 100) and
It is transmitted to the base (61) through the pillars (63, 64). The pivot bins (87, 88, 98, 99) are of no use in this respect. Therefore, the size of these bins can be reduced, thereby reducing the overall size of the shoulder support.
It has the effect of improving the appearance of the body. As shown in Figure 8, the function of limiting the lateral inclination is that the blocks (82, 95)
This is done by making contact with the inner walls of each. As a person skilled in the art can easily understand from the above disclosure, the present invention
There may be slight variations from the above embodiments without departing from the essence of the idea.
It can also be implemented with many other embodiments. As an example of many such embodiments, the threaded holes (91, 92) of the block (82) in FIG. It is also possible to arrange the holes at different levels, with one hole close together and the other hole farther away. In this way, any of the bins (87, 88) can correspond to any of the slots (78, 80), so by changing the orientation of the flock within the cavity, the threaded holes (91, 92) can be aligned. from the threaded hole (94) in the opposite column at four different distances.
It is possible to do this. Therefore, I include in this application all examples that I believe are reasonable and appropriate to be included within the scope of my contribution to the field.
I would like to obtain a patent that I believe will be issued in the future, and I would like to make a request here. FIG, 2nd G, 3 FIG, 8 FIG, 9 FIG, 10 Submission of translation of written amendment (Article 184-7, Paragraph 1 of the Patent Law) May 20, 1991
