(b) Prior art The conventional method for producing feather meal involves transporting broiler feathers, which have been soaked in hot water and dehaired, using a conveyor, etc., transporting them into a cutter through an input port, heating them under pressure in the cutter, and adding water. After decomposition processing, the product is carried out through the outlet and then dried under reduced pressure to produce a product. In addition, in this manufacturing process, after the processing in the couture car is completed and the processed material is carried out, feathers are successively introduced. It was carried into the cutter through the mouth and processed continuously.

(c) Problems to be solved by the invention Therefore, in the conventional method for manufacturing feather meal, feathers containing a large amount of moisture are continuously transported in a layered state, carried into a cutter, and cut into a predetermined amount. However, such laminated feathers are entangled with each other and cannot be easily cut, and the uncut feathers get caught in the lid of the input port, causing the input port to remain airtight. Therefore, during the hydrolysis treatment by pressurized heating in the next step, it was difficult to efficiently perform pressurized heating, making continuous treatment difficult and uneconomical. Furthermore, it was uneconomical that a great deal of labor was required to remove as much as 70% of the moisture contained in the raw materials during the subsequent drying under reduced pressure.

(d) Means for solving the problem In the present invention, the raw material feathers are heated in advance to soften them, and the feathers are kneaded and dehydrated by compression treatment, and simultaneously with the compression treatment. , or by heating under pressurized conditions after the pressing process, the feathers are hydrolyzed and dried, and the pressurized heating can be performed efficiently, and it does not require effort to dehydrate the water content after the hydrolysis process, It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for producing feather meal that is economical and allows easy continuous processing.

(E) Effect According to the present invention, since the feathers are softened in advance, the feathers can be cut easily and reliably, and when the hydrolysis treatment is performed under pressurized and heated conditions in the subsequent process, there is no need to add a cutter. There are no defects such as inability to maintain airtightness due to the uncut feathers at the mouth, and hydrolysis and drying by pressure and heat treatment are performed efficiently, and the manufacturing process can be performed continuously without any problems.

In addition, since the feathers are compressed at the same time or before the hydrolysis treatment, dehydration is performed at the same time as kneading, resulting in a uniform product. It is possible to produce high-quality feather meal at low cost by preventing quality deterioration due to thermal deterioration.

Next, the feathers that have undergone such processing are loaded onto a conveyor, carried in a belt shape from the input port into the puller, and when a predetermined amount is stored in the puller, the belt-shaped feathers are cut at the input port, but the feathers are softened beforehand. Because of this, cutting can be done easily and reliably, and the opening can be closed in an airtight state.
