As a tape-shaped liquid sensor used for this type of liquid detection, a ``conductive liquid detection sensor'' described in Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 58-96248 has been proposed.
This sensor has at least two sensing conductors spaced apart and sandwiched between two pieces of insulating tape, and a large number of through holes are provided in at least one of the insulating tapes at positions corresponding to the sensing conductors. By bridging the sensing conductors, the presence or arrival of liquid is electrically detected.

However, in order to obtain quick detection, these conventional tape-shaped liquid sensors are used by being attached to bare floor surfaces or equipment surfaces that require liquid detection, so other parts may come into contact with the sensor. The sensor is more likely to be damaged, and since it is exposed to the surface of equipment, the sensor deteriorates more quickly due to ultraviolet rays and oxidation, which shortens the sensor's lifespan.

In view of the above-mentioned drawbacks, the object of this invention is to provide a liquid detection device that prevents breakage, reduces deterioration over time, and has a long life.

In order to solve the above problems, according to this invention, at least a pair of sensing conductors substantially juxtaposed,
A tape-shaped liquid sensor sandwiched between tapes having through-holes that can be bridged by incoming liquid is brought into surface contact so as to cover one side of the tape-shaped liquid sensor, and the tape-shaped liquid sensor is movable. The gist of the liquid sensing device is a liquid sensing device comprising at least one support piece that supports the liquid sensing device, and a holding band having locking means formed at both ends.

In addition, in this configuration, if the tape of the tape-shaped liquid sensor is formed using a material with a low coefficient of friction, the sensor can be easily displaced, and the concentration of breakage stress due to expansion and contraction in response to environmental changes is eliminated, further reducing breakage. Furthermore, if this tape is formed using a fluororesin, it will have excellent weather resistance and thus have a long service life, which is advantageous.

In addition, in the configuration according to this invention, if locking means are provided at both ends of the retaining band and connectors are provided at both ends of the tape-shaped liquid sensor, it will be convenient to attach the liquid detection device alone. In addition, it can be used as a standard product because it can be connected in series with other devices, and can be attached to various types of equipment.

According to this invention, one side of the tape-shaped liquid sensor is covered with a retaining band, so if this sensor is placed on the side of various devices and the protective band is placed on the side exposed to the external environment, this retaining band covers the sensor. The liquid detection device can be protected from mechanical shock, aging deterioration caused by ultraviolet rays, oxidation, etc., and a liquid detection device with a long life can be obtained. Furthermore, since the sensor is movably supported within the holding band, it is possible to allow the sensor to expand and contract due to environmental changes, thereby eliminating stress concentration that could lead to damage, and extending the life of the sensor. In particular, forming the sensor tape using a material with a low coefficient of friction such as fluororesin is suitable for eliminating this stress concentration. In addition, if locking means are provided at both ends of the retaining band and connectors are provided at both ends of the sensor, it will be convenient to attach the liquid detection device.
In addition, it is convenient as a standard product because it allows such devices to be connected in series.

Further, FIG. 3 is a plan view showing an embodiment of the tape-shaped liquid sensor 2 used in this invention. This tape-shaped liquid sensor 2 is formed by arranging a pair of sensing conductors 8 substantially side by side and sandwiching them between two tapes made of a low friction coefficient material such as fluororesin. By providing a large number of through holes 9 for sensing liquid bridging on at least one side of the two sandwiched tapes, a structure is created in which the incoming liquid can bridge the sensing conductors 8. Furthermore, female connectors 10 are provided at both ends of this tape-like liquid sensor 2.
and a male connector 11 are provided, respectively, for easy connection.

In the liquid detection device 1 having the structure described above, the surface of the tape-like liquid sensor 2 without the through-holes 9 is brought into surface contact with the holding band 3 and supported by the support piece 4, so that the through-holes 9 of the tape-like liquid sensor 2 The holding band 3 is fixed in an annular shape by means of locking means formed at both ends of the holding band 3, for example, around the flange portion. In this state, connect a detector (not shown) to either the female connector 10 or the male connector 11,
The presence of liquid seeping out from the flange portion can be detected as a change in impedance or resistance value between the sensing conductors 8 of the tape-shaped liquid sensor 2.

As explained above, according to this invention, the tape-shaped liquid sensor is installed between the retaining band made of stainless steel strip or the like and a member of the equipment, so that the retaining band protects the tape-shaped liquid sensor from mechanical shock. To provide a liquid detection device with a long life by protecting the liquid sensor and preventing aging deterioration due to the effects of ultraviolet rays and oxidation, and since the tape-shaped liquid sensor can be freely displaced and moved by the support piece, stress concentration due to expansion and contraction can be eliminated. I can do it.

Further, in this invention, if a low friction coefficient material such as fluororesin is used for the tape material of the tape-shaped liquid sensor, the tape-shaped liquid sensor can be easily displaced within the retaining band, and stress concentration can be easily prevented. In addition, fluororesin has excellent weather resistance and can extend the life of the sensor, and is also water repellent, so it can prevent malfunctions.

Furthermore, in this invention, by providing locking means at both ends of the retaining band and providing connectors at both ends of the tape-like liquid sensor, it is not only convenient to attach the liquid detection device itself, but also allows the same type of liquid detection device to be connected in series. This makes it convenient to connect and install.

Note that this invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments; for example, the tape-like liquid sensor may be made into any shape, any material may be used, or the retaining band may be made of a material other than stainless steel. Similar effects can be obtained even if various modifications are made within the scope of the idea based on this invention.
