Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of using an exclusive card reader/writer from the card system by providing an inputting means for inputting data, displaying means for displaying data, controlling section for processing data, and data transmitting means which transmits and receives data to and from other systems in a non-contact state. CONSTITUTION:The controlling section of a card 1 correlates a preset password code with an inputted password code and, when they coincide with each other, makes a coincidence display on the displaying section 1b of the card. When they do not coincide with each other, the controlling section makes a suitable display on the section 1b and, at the same time, transmits radio waves to the card 2 held by a store clerk. The radio waves transmitted from the card 1 are received by the card 2 and the controlling section of the card 2 judges the password code correlated result. When the correlated result is coincident, the store clerk inputs the amount of purchased goods to the card 2 by using the key inputting section 2a of the card 2. Accordingly, the amount is displayed on the displaying section 2b of the card 2 and, at the same time, radio waves are transmitted from the card 2 and the same amount is also displayed on the displaying section 1b of the card 1. Therefore, no special card reader/ writer is required.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a card such as an ATM card that allows monetary information to be exchanged between cards, and a card system using the same. [Technology] Fig. 3 is a schematic diagram showing the mode of information transmission and reception by a conventional contactless card system, in which 21 is a contactless card;
2 indicates a card reader/writer. The contactless card 21 stores personal data and the like, and is carried by the individual. On the other hand, the card reader/writer 22 includes a key input section 22a that can input commands, data, etc., and a display section 22 for displaying data, etc.
b, and installed in stores, etc. Then, between the card league writer 22 and the contactless card 21, when the card league writer 22 inputs the processing details through its key human power section 22a, the card league writer 22 commands the contactless card 21 via radio waves. , send data. Upon receiving the command, the contactless card 21 performs predetermined processing and sends the processing results to the card reader/writer 22 again via radio waves.

A card reader/writer 22 is installed in the store, and personal data such as the amount of money and a password is stored in the card 21 owned by the individual. When a product is purchased, the purchaser's personal identification code is input into the card 21 using a card league writer 22 via radio waves. The card 21 checks the input PIN code with the PIN code manually generated in advance to confirm whether the cart in question belongs to the purchaser (

The control section of the card 1 checks the preset password code and the input password code, and if they match, displays a match, and if they do not match, displays a corresponding display on the display section 1b, and A radio wave is oscillated toward the card 2 owned by the clerk (step SL). The radio wave oscillated from the card 1 is received by the card 2, and its control section judges the result of the verification of the PIN code (step S2). If there is a mismatch, the transmission and reception of monetary information ends. If they match, the clerk enters the purchase price on the card 2 using the key input section 2a. As a result, the amount is displayed on the display section 2b of the card 2 (step S3), and the amount is displayed on the display section 2b of the card 2.
A radio wave is emitted from the card 1, and the same amount is displayed on the display section 1b of the card 1 (step S4).
