Abstract

PURPOSE:To uniformly disperse sludge at the time of charging of the sludge and to accelerate the digestion thereof by providing a baffle plate in the lower part of a charging pipe and bringing the charged sludge into collision against this plate. CONSTITUTION:The sludge collides against the baffle plate 6 provided below the charging pipe 2 when the sludge is charged through the pipe. The sludge is then dispersed uniformly in the four directions of the baffle plate 6 by the impact force of the collision, by which the sludge is successively dispersed into the stirring liquid in the digester tank 1. The charged sludge is forcibly separated and dispersed by the baffle plate 6 in such a manner and, therefore, the sludge lumps are not formed even if there is a temp. difference between the sludge temp. and the liquid temp. in the digester tank 1. The direct short circuiting of the undigested sludge to a sludge withdrawing pipe 4 does not, therefore, arise and since the charged sludge is completely digested, about 35% VTS is attained.

[Prior Art] Fig. 2 is an explanatory diagram showing a conventional method of charging sludge into a digestion tank. In the figure, 1 is a digestion tank, 2 is a charging pipe, 3 is an agitator, and 4 is a sludge drawing pipe.

That is, in the conventional case, sludge was directly charged vertically from the upper part of the digestion tank 1 to the upper part of the liquid level or the lower part of the liquid level through the input pipe 2. In this case, the liquid in the digestion tank 1 is heated to about 35° C. and is stirred by the stirrer 3. The temperature of the input sludge is usually about 20°C, and the sludge is input intermittently.

VTS (organic matter concentration) of input sludge is usually 70-75%
After digestion, the sludge is reduced to about half of that amount, and the digested sludge is pulled out from the sludge drawing pipe 4 provided at the bottom of the digestion tank 1 and dehydrated by passing it through a dewatering machine (not shown).

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, as the temperature of the input sludge is lower than the liquid temperature in the digestion tank as described above, the sludge is not dispersed uniformly due to this temperature difference, and as shown in Figure 2. Sludge lumps 5 are formed. Such sludge lumps 5 are difficult to disperse even by stirring, and since the stirring force is generally small, they are not dispersed. Therefore, there was a problem in that undigested sludge lumps were pulled out as they were by the drawing pipe 4, causing a short circuit phenomenon.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In order to achieve the above object, the method of introducing sludge into digested species according to the present invention is such that a baffle plate is provided at the lower part of the input pipe and the input sludge collides with this. It is designed to be distributed in a distributed manner.

[Function] When sludge is introduced, the sludge first collides with the baffle plate, which causes it to be uniformly dispersed in all directions and dispersed in the stirring flow inside the digester.

In the above embodiment, when sludge is introduced through the input pipe 2, the sludge collides with the baffle plate 6 provided at the lower part of the sludge, and the impact force causes the sludge to be uniformly dispersed on all sides of the baffle plate 6 and into the stirring liquid of the digestion tank 1. In order to forcibly separate and disperse the input sludge,
Even if there is a temperature difference as described above between the sludge temperature and the liquid temperature in the digestion tank 1, sludge does not form into lumps. Therefore, undigested sludge is not directly short-circuited to the sludge extraction pipe 4, and all of the input sludge can be digested, so the VTS is 35%.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, according to the present invention, when sludge is introduced into the digestion tank, it is first caused to collide with the baffle plate provided at the bottom of the input pipe, thereby uniformly dispersing the sludge. This has the effect of preventing sludge from shorting to the sludge extraction pipe and promoting digestion.
